Another super underrated Dungeon Meshi moment (I believe from the Adventurer’s Bible, not the main story?) is Chilchuck telling the party that if he dies, they should get his daughter Mayjack to adventure with them as his replacement. In this setting where dungeon adventuring parties exploit and dehumanize half-foots, he trusts his party with his daughter’s life. And he believes in his daughter enough to trust her with her own and his best friends’ lives.
Chilchuck left for a meeting but mayjack thought he was leaving for a work trip so she chased after him to bring him his tools.
