College Major Headcanons:

Yuuji Itadori - Media Studies, on a full sports scholarship even though he's not too interested in sports. He doesn't show up to practice that much but carries the team in tournaments. Not really very academically inclined but everyone he meets loves him so much that he's gotten a shit ton of internships and work experience just cuz he's nice to work with. Stays on campus dorms.

Nobara Kugisaki - Fashion Merchandising (yay legally blonde). Another one who's not very academically inclined but does great at the practical aspects of the job. Gets 40% off on tuition, but has some funds from her grandma. also gets money from her fashion blog, part-time jobs at fashion mags, and manages clothing for photoshoots on a freelance basis (if she commits she commits). Saves on residence by renting with Inumaki and Panda.

Megumi Fushiguro - Computer Science with a minor in Math. Full scholarship and bursary grant by the college due to his shitty financial conditions (orphaned and destitute at a young age). Prof Gojo is his legal guardian. grew up in and stays on campus dorms.

Maki Zenin - Star Athlete, literally training for the Olympics. Her degree is in Mass Communications but she doesn't actually have to attend classes cuz the Uni wants her to focus on sports. Disowned by her family. Full sports scholarship and occasionally gets sponsored by sportswear companies. Trying to go pro.

Yuuta Okkotsu - Sociology and Anthropolgy. He enjoys talking to and meeting people and works as a part-time Journalist for local news channels to bring attention to issues like poverty. Gets a bursary grant from the uni, gets paid for and is decently recognized for his journalism work. Both Geto and Gojo want to mentor him. He talks to himself when he's alone but that's a secret.

Toge Inumaki - Architectural Design, chose this degree just for the hell of it, is a solid B+ student. Has a YouTube gaming and ASMR channel with 200k followers but is struggling to monetize it profitably. Got in on legacy admissions but gets a sports scholarship of 30% (he's pretty good at athletics)

Panda - ???

Noritoshi Kamo - Economics and Finance, specializing in Private Equity and Investment Banking. he's the heir of the Kamo Conglomerate. Full legacy admission even though he graduated valedictorian of high school and is the captain of the Archery team.

Todo Aoi - Quantum Physics. he's literally the top student of every class he takes. he keeps taking random other classes from different majors based on his whims. his genius was recognised and personally mentored by Yuki Tsukumo, but is now undergoing formal college education for the certificate even though he already knows all this and more. he spends half the day in the gym and the other half streaming Takada-chan variety clips.

Mai Zenin - Economics and Finance, her family made her take it. good at academics even though she's not super into it. legacy admission.

Momo Nishimiya - Literature and Creative Writing. She posts regularly for a gender and sexuality magazine. loves nobara's blog.

Miwa Kasumi - Computer Science with a minor in Software Engineering. She just wanted a degree that would lead to a well-paying job. Cabinet Member of the Student Council. She vouched a lot for Mechamaru/Kokichi to get disability-friendly accommodation. she struggles a bit with academics but pulls through with A- all around. Kokichi/Mechamaru helps her if she finds something particularly difficult to understand. has her own campus residence but has practically moved in with Kokichi.

Arata Nitta - Health and Medicine, focusing on Emergency Care Medicine. he TAs for Prof Shoko's classes. his sister works in college admin office. has campus residence but mostly stays in the college affilitated hospital, bit of an over-worker.

Mechamaru/ Kokichi Muta - double major in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. Another top student of his classes. Found it a bit difficult to adjust to campus life at first (not enough disability accommodation) but with Miwa's help he got around. campus dorm with Miwa.

Professors!

Gojo Satoru - graduated from top Ivy colleges, has 5 PhDs, and wrote 1000 papers and books, and is the one of the most respected physicist in the world but insists on teaching Intro-level Physics and Math. drives a Bugatti to college. highly competitive relative grading. prescribes his own books for his class. expect a problem set every day after class. gives a lot of individual attention to students tho, n is very nice in general. he'll accept a late submission if u bring him sweets. his lockscreen is prof geto?

Geto Suguru - teaches one class named Ethics, Philosophy and Law every semester. doesn't answer questions over email, only during Office Hours. great at explaining difficult concepts, his course is the one students fight to get into and say "opened their eyes". has a devoted cult of worshipping students, voted student favorite every year. his adopted daughters took a gap year to travel abroad and he talks about them in class. he always has sweets in his pockets?

Utahime Iori - teaches modules on Economics, Politics and Philosophy courses. great teacher, very clear explanations, bumps up the grading slightly (absolute grading) and is very accommodating as a prof. hates getting emails at night tho.

Shoko Ieiri - Shitty ass prof tbh but everyone takes her class cuz she gives everyone an A. teaches Surgical Anatomy. focuses on practical experience rather than theory. she has a no attendance policy and takes few very exams or assignments.

Yuki Tsukomo - Visiting Faculty, takes one super high level class Quantum Physical Theory one semester and comes back after 4 years. Independent researcher funded by the uni.

inumaki and kugisaki are tied at #1 for most likely to slap you for money amongst the tokyo jujutsu students

if food/drinks get stuck in the vending machine, itadori sticks his hand in the bottom but starts shaking it once that doesn’t work (he probably gets it stuck too lmao), fushiguro stares angrily before smacking it once to successfully get his food (he’s infuriatingly perfect precise like that), and kugisaki beats up the machine or just breaks the glass

kasumi owns a polaroid camera and takes pictures of her friends whenever they go out shopping or eating together, one day she wants to be able to take a picture with her and mechamaru

you know how shaggy and scooby would do anything for a scooby snack? kugisaki and maki probably buy jujutsu snacks or something to bribe gojo and itadori

inumaki enjoys head pats, both giving and receiving. since he can’t verbally communicate affection well, he’s grown more accustomed and open to things like head pats and poking cheeks. he’s also really annoying and likes to “tase” people (jabbing Really hard with 2 fingers at someone’s ribs)

nanami would be lowkey so proud if itadori ever asked him for help suit-shopping, he’d act like it was troublesome but he’s already calling his go-to stores and scheduling appointments. he sets itadori’s budget very high despite his protests

maki exclusively only gives side hugs/one-armed hugs to people, but will give full hugs if you’re special (aka kugisaki, mai, any of the tokyo 2nd years)

shoko puts on episodes of 2 broke girls or grace and frankie as background noise while she does paperwork or answers emails

inumaki is a kung fu panda enthusiast, he claims he’s such because it bothers panda, but in reality he genuinely just likes the movies lmaooo his favorite characters are master shifu and crane

gojo probably winks at himself in every mirror he sees... both with and without his mask... he’ll deadass wink at himself Under the mask

gojo likes mcdonald’s happy meals but mainly for the toys, probably goes out of his way to ask Specifically for the disney princess ones

high school getou probably wanted a snake as a pet, gojo was horrified by that notion but shoko was supportive

kasumi is a stress baker, her specialty is lemon tarts and mechamaru helps her in the kitchen but needs Specific instructions or else he messes it up by accident

nishimiya is a picky eater, not by taste, but by texture. she hates tomatoes, bananas, and grapes but likes apples, strawberries, and cucumber

fushiguro has a good skincare routine, gojo made a joke about washing his face in pizza grease once and this kid was so deeply mortified that he took it upon himself to establish a strict routine. he’s always down to do face masks with kugisaki

i bet mai had a short-lived boyband phase (that thankfully maki wasn’t there to witness) and spent too much money on posters and albums that she now regrets. all the merch is stashed away somewhere secret. she’ll die before letting anyone find out

At the end of ch. 80, Gege leaves this note.

I tried to look for symbolism related to tuna that fits Mahito but idk if there is anything, or if gege just thought it was funny or felt like drawing another fish. (it was clear that Mahito turned into the fish, maybe he wanted us to know it's a tuna?).

Mostly I saw that tuna used to be a last resort food, but recently gained a much higher reputation - is this a sign that Kenjaku wouldn't eat Mahito in his current state, unless that's all there is? That Mahito would become something that he really wanted to absorb?

Kenjaku did look forward to the possibility that Kokichi Muta (mechamaru) would push Mahito into that state during their fight.

That's all I got, so I'm letting this one go. Let me know if you think of anything else.

Also I updated my character analysis of Mahito, but it's worse and more disturbing and I hate it (fr I only recommend this if you're already rly uncomfortable w him but haven't placed why) but I rly don't see it being related to the tuna

PREVIEW

"Kyomu-senpai", the robotic calling of his surname earns a sigh out of him. With disdain, he takes out the Mechamaru communicator device that he blatantly ignored for the past 30 minutes, "I have news that Gojo-sensei has been sealed."

"Is that so? He's been sealed? Are you completely sure about this or are you lying to create a diversion like the traitor you are, snake?" Kyomu huffs, his eyes narrowing down at the wooden face puppet designed device. The fact that this student betrayed the Jujutsu Sorcerers, especially to Miwa, is palpable and disappointing.

A melancholic sigh follows afterwards. "Take my statement however you truly want it to be. But I was able to deduce that Mei Mei isn't couldn't be the mole because that would have had her doing the objectives from the inside. Itadori Yuuji couldn't be the mole because he only knew about our world for a few months, and you couldn't the mole because you are the only third-year in Tokyo Jujutsu Tech to not have been suspended and kept close within the school."

"You suspected me of being the mole? How hypocritical and disastrous your mind is. No wonder you died and now became trapped in this device." Kyomu scoffs, crushing the skull of the old woman Ogami, who was a curse user that created the curtain until his arrival, after executing her and the other two. Although the taller and lanky curse user should be dead since he stabbed his ribs, damaged his kneecap, bashed his head on the roof before throwing him off to prevail him ingesting the tiny capsule. Mechamaru was about to reply but was instantly cut off by the third-year.

"Mechamaru, has Tsukumo-san arrived yet?" He asked the robotic cursed device. A robotic hum follows afterwards.

"Hai. She just arrived in Tokyo 5 minutes ago."

"What about Kyoto Jujutsu Tech?" There was a hesitant pause that followed. Kyomu had made sure to contact his mentor to come to Tokyo immediately due to how she was always around the world and not following the rules of the Jujutsu Higher-ups. Thank God she was in Korea and not halfway around the world before the incident began.

"They are about to arrive in 10 minutes to Shibuya station." Mechamaru responds, but there's a shaky and anxious tone in his voice. "Kyomu-senpai, I do not know what you are planning but to involve my school into this mission that is in the territory of Tokyo, especially Miwa-"

"Unlike you who put the entire Jujutsu Society at risk of danger and security," Kyomu callously cuts off, staring down at the device, "I will make sure none of your classmates are harmed, including your girlfriend." The senpai's words made Mechamaru silent, probably reeling over the fact that Miwa is being called his significant other. "Besides, all of my classmates and teachers in my school are about to fight an unimaginable battle. So I need to make sure I can protect them until Yuki arrives. I also need to make sure Itadori-kun doesn't get overtaken by Sukuna, since one of the Special Grade curses has 10 fingers."

Kyomu overlooks the view of Shibuya, his eyes glinting with mischief and intellect. "I have it all planned out and will be turning the tides over in this battle." He watches many of Shibuya's residents and civilians evacuate the district in large numbers.

Good, the casualties will be much lower and this will give that patchwork face curse a huge disadvantage in transfiguring humans.

"What are you doing now?" Mechamaru's monotone voice inquires, as Kyomu steps over the ledge of the Shibuya Sky high-rise.

"Let the games begin," He smiles in sadistic glee, knowing the curses and curse users will lose numbers within the next half an hour. "May the odds be in their favor." He bows, before intentionally falling as he unleashes a mirror to transcend his fall and warp into the main part of Shibuya...

So, what do you guys think? A Shibuya Incident AU where Kenjaku's and the curses' plans foil even with Gojo sealed?

I think an interesting trio in JJK would be Mechamaru, Noritoshi, and Miwa. Idk why but they seem like they would work well together.

It would be a mix of distance fighter, mid range, and close up fighters that would work well. Plus, their personalities would be interesting to see.

Miwa would add some fun and bring out their full potential without making them angry or go on a rant about themselves/their ideals/morals.

Noritoshi would be the leader and keep them from doing their own things and getting hurt.

Mechamaru would keep them focused and taking care of themselves.

I also think Nortishi and Mechamaru would cheer Miwa on when she fights or trains. It’s be kinda like a close friendship.
