This rewatch I'm not getting too much vibes between Arthur and Merlin (except the destiny stuff and two sides of the same coin obv) but what I DO see is both of them crushing so hard on Lancelot. Like, yeah Merlin, he has saved your life, that's true, and you hate living in a monarchy where there isn't any meritocracy, but he never asked you to make him false documents to enter the knights. And when Lancelot asks him about Gwen and Merlin says there's nothing between them EVEN IF THEY KISSED JUST ONE EPISODE AGO?? Like, bro, wtf? Why are you not telling him that? Because it's pretty clear that even if you didn't dislike the kiss, you aren't really into her. So he could just say what happened and tell Lancelot that it didn't mean anything to him.
And Arthur, Arthur, Arthur... Sweet arrogant summer child, maybe you don't know all the aristocratic families' trees, that's fine, but you SHOULD be able to tell if someone had or hadn't been brought up in high society. He even admits it when Lancelot is in jail! I even thought that he knew and closed a blind eye because he thought Lancelot was knight material! And there is no straight reason for him not seeing through Lancelot. The only possible reason is that he was smitten by him. Also I think he doesn't know how to interact with guys he likes so he just gives them chores. (see: Merlin. The character, not the series. But also the series.)
So in this episode every teenager (how old are the characters???) gets a crush on Lancelot (except maybe Morgana), while he saves the day and then rides way into the sunset.

We've all talked about merlin's purple shirt before. Only royalty can afford it etc. Gift from arthur.
But can we talk about the camelot 'ceremonial robes'? Like firstly, obviously they're fake as shit. Arthur did it as a prank. But from people's reactions, nobodies even heard of this shit.
Which prompts me to think Arthur made up the entire thing for a prank. Which means he'd have to get the robes from somewhere right? He'd have to have them made somehow.
Which further prompts me to think, that Arthur, spent a fucking lot of money, and the guy he'd just met, just because he wanted to see him wear something showy.
Like look at that thing! Does it look cheap? Imagine having that made in literal medieval times. That costs as much as a fucking tapestry. And Arthur bought it just to have an excuse to look at merlin, under the cover of making fun of him.
Do I have any evidence for this? No. Fuck off. Its true because i said so.

Pericival and Gwaine so gay for eachother the way Percival holds Gwaine when he dies is almost as gay as Arthur asking Merlin to hold him

How many times do you think Merlin brought in breakfast for Arthur just to find an empty room and a cold bed? How many times did he stumble out of bed in the morning, going to the kitchens without a thought while the cook let him take food became she couldn't bare reminding him? How many times do you think Merlin went to go clean Arthur's room only to find it unchanged since he last entered? How many times do you think Gwen found him there after she switched rooms because she couldn't bare to be there, but when she passed by Merlin always was? How many times did Merlin light a fire or wait at the desk for Arthur, trying to forget that he wouldn't be in that room ever again?
I'm rewatching Wynonna Warp and omg I missed it so much 😭 watching it feels so nostalgic and I'm kinda thinking making fanart too which I never made- such as for Grimm, Merlin etc. ugh 😩
