Shading study that quite literally came to me in a dream two weeks ago, after this post apparently beamed itself into my mind

[Start ID. Three different versions of the previous drawing. The first changes the tone of the lighting from blue to pink, and similarly the shading from pink to blue. The second replaces the faint black border with pink, purple and blue, syncing with the stripes in the background. The third combines both these changes. End ID]

the tags got NERFED so let's try this again. peridots-art minos prime ultrakill Ultrakill ask to tag? organs ...? gore maybe? for the whole ''transparent chest/visible cardiovascular system'' thing. not very detailed/realistic though so i don't think this has all of the same charm as i usually find in my posts. but i tried my best to make it work so i don't think it matters also ''not too happy with how this turned out'' is something i've seen tacked onto posts worthy of being preserved in museums i heard someone say his snakes should be ball pythons. i'm not autistic about snakes so i decided to listen to the masters i still have seven levels to p-rank before i can meet this guy!! halfway there (lust/greed and 1-3 remaining) i've only had my own copy of ultrakill for a week and i already have 33 hours in. anyway he's grown on me i think. absolute bi king and only monarch i respect <3 i think it's interesting how i now define my queerness by being gray-ace and trans when i first only identified with bisexual. it's still an important part of me even if sometimes i forget. sorry that sounds completely unrelated but it's related to my feelings on this piece anyway (i wonder how many ''anyway''s i've slapped on so far) i also find it interesting how often people draw him with this body type. i think it's cool there's variety in how people draw the uk characters. it just kinda feels right here? i know i unfortunately don't draw fat characters often at all (partially due to being a primarily fandom blog who likes to stick to canon designs. i wouldn't say i have trouble with drawing a realistic amount of fat even on rather thin people though lol) but i try! also genuinely unsure what counts as like. fat vs chubby? or whatever? i don't know exactly how the terminology works and a fair amount of minos' bulk is muscle anyway but. yeah 👍 men are pretty in dresses my final message. goodbye

minos prime ultrakill Ultrakill peridots-nonsense FOR CONTEXT. THE MOST RESTARTS I'VE EVER HAD PREVIOUSLY WAS 80-SOMETHING (gabe 3-1 first playthrough). SO I FIND THE CAPTION VERY FUNNY. also went to grab the usb for this on all fours cause my knees hurt cause. three hours. thought about quitting ~50 deaths in but pulled through due to a sheer spiteful need to see how many restarts i ended up with woke up 13 hours after pulling my first ever all-nighter and straight. balled all day i guess. must i reiterate the ''8 p-ranks in one day' i do think i should be more proud of myself than i am for this though!!! only a week ago this guy was the toughest boss in uk!!!! i haven't even defeated some of the toughest bossed in hk. i only got radi once anyway. Achievement Get *bosses augh but i'm not fixing that. think that's all. i suffered but twas worth it for the bragging rights. kind of

Sibling asked me to fill a page with ultk characters three days ago and I think I had. A very normal amount of fun doing that.

BARELY THERE. sorry. also for the kitr caption merlin's our cat :] sorry to anyone who was searching hopefully for their favorite Guy and got a miniscule doodle. i love everyone here though if it helps :] currently halfway through p-ranking act II but i don't have any other tangents besides that. so anyway bugzapper ultrakill peridots-ocs < experimental name for that guy in the middle. i wanted an ultrasona and then realized the lust layer doesn't have a miniboss like 0/2/4/5 *1 not 2. anyway i originally thought (like. two days ago) it could be 2-2's theoret. boss but the music for 2-3 fits better so. ?? gay bug but in 2-2 you could fight it in the end arena and get the railcannon when you beat it... but 2-3's challenge and theme fits better... idk ALSO I GOTTA DRAW ON PAPER MORE!!! i haven't done that with any frequency since like three years ago but it's getting frustrating trying to draw digitally since i'm a perfectionist and take so much time on everything that i'm just not able to draw as much as i used to. it's sad! but this WAS fun! and quick! and i didn't obsess over the tiny details i didn't have to plan ahead i just Drew! it was. really nice :]

THIS GUY HAS TAKEN UP SO MUCH OF MY TIME i'd estimate this is my. 15th time beating this level?? and i've only beat them both without restarts one other time (big ol asterisk here) but the times I've died to him and the flesh prison (moreso him than it of course) are completely immeasurable. so this was FANTASTIC *two times if you're counting the run right before this screenshot. i was so so close and hadn't restarted and i killed him and then DIED T THE SHOCKWAVES FROM HIS 'DIE' ATTACK. turned on cheats and Railcannon Blasted him to death but nevermind that because. whaough. this very well could be my greatest gaming acheivement ever... apologies if it seems like bragging i just suffered to this level so much so i'm just like. A LITTLE proud right now. anyway farewell tag-wanderer i should probably work on a certain wip before july 1st comes :]

A sketch of Gabriel Ultrakill, uncolored and done entirely in yellow and teal. Areas that would normally be black are shaded in yellow hatching, and golden armor is decorated with the same curving, jagged lines that OP regularly uses to shade. Most of his body is shown, but part of his lower body, his entire left wing (our right), and the tip of the right wing are blocked off by the sketches of other artists. Notably, his wings are veined and shaped in a similar fashion to scarab wings, the runes above them like elytra, and an alluding note from OP reads "beetle gabe" twice in all caps. He gestures with his left arm in the air, corresponding hand lightly curled inward at face-height, right arm bent outward at his waist. Between this and a very faint expression upon his helmet, he might read as excited.

Three sketches in mostly green of, dare
I say once again, more Ultrakill characters. The first, in the top left of the image, is a small Swordsmachine standing neutrally, both gun-arm and sword-arm slack at its sides, staring off to the right. In the center is Bugzapper, a machine OC belonging to OP. They're sentry-headed with an antenna on either side, viewed from the neck up, one pair of hands palm-down under their chin to convey a smug cutesy expression. Caption by OP reads "abt to railcoin yuo" [sic]. Third and final doodle depicts Minos Prime chest-up, chiton wrapped around one shoulder. He stares up and to the right, small lines by his head evoking the barbed wire of his corpse. His circulatory system is lined in purple, and another one of my notes reads "almost forgot how fun it is to draw hearts".

A few Ultrakill characters drawn in the chibified, super-simplified style of Hakita's V1 fumo. V2 and Swordsmachine are in the center, and the V1 on the right is cut off, as it was not drawn by OP.

peridots-art bugs bots Ultrakill gabriel ultrakill swordsmachine ultrakill bugzapper ultrakill minos prime ultrakill v2 ultrakill plus the rest of the fumos but those weren't done by me. someone was drawing v1 so i put a v2 beside them and came back later to like 5 mor hence why they are out of frame. anyway this was a LOT of fun I lost track of time and stayed up till dawn even there were so many cool and/or recognized artists.... i keep checking the ultrakill tag to see if anyone else posts their own sketches it was posted at like 2am my time though so i didn't get to stay very long.... i checked in today on the fumo drawings and there was just so much new art over there and in general. so many people doodling and having fun and complimenting each other and bonding over the things we all like. im gonna cry anyway. i think this is the longest period of non-posting (not inactivity. lol) on tumblr i've ever had so might've forgot some tags. also i think i'll use alt text for multiple images and regular id for 1-2 edit also i wrote 'today' in the tags up there but it was in fact two days ago. regardless ALSO. sorry if the alt text is hard to read or anything. never used it before + penchant for lengthy descriptions can you tell i'm really proud of the beetle gabe btw. men will see a character say 'anyone gonna buggify that?' and not wait for an answer WAIT i've already made that joke haven't i. whatever turn your blorbo into an insect or some sort of gay bug today

Minos's other arm is bent away in an almost-shrug and Sisyphus's free hand is at his chest, small centipedes snake their way up Minos's arms and one twines together the hands of both slugcats.

Two Ultrakill fancharacters belonging to Woofolotl/Onlineviolence, the angel Yuriel and streetcleaner Pyrite. Yuriel, to be specific, has navy blue armor emblazoned with white and gold, and similarly Pyrite's chassis is uniquely black and flecked with gold sand. It is unclear as to whether there's a surface or plain air beneath the two, the background bright blue and cloudy, as Pyrite leaps down excitedly and open-armed into Yuriel's embrace. The closest thing to emotional expression in the image lies in the delighted colors of Yuriel's curled wings.

An image of Yuriel and Pyrite neck-up, the machine held to her side with a single angelic arm. Yuriel turns her head just slightly to look over at it, pyre's shoulders hunched a bit awkwardly forward what with the position she's held in.

A halfbody of Kyle, an entirely original oc belonging to sophisticated-apple. He's the only human of the bunch, with brown skin, dark hair and prominent vitiligo. The simplistic background depicts vague bushes and city lights, the shading being similarly dark. He wears a gray beanie, green hoodie, black glasses, and a nervous expression composed of a smile and a glance to the side. He's holding a mug with the slightly-obscured printed text "Ask me about my cryptid obsession", and he tilts the mug a little to point with it.

FAVOURITE SOUNDTRACK

For this prompt I chose requiem, though this drawing is also a tribute to other minos prime songs (glory, cold winds, order)

I love every song in ultrakill but minos primes' ones just hit different for me I suppose. Its like you can feel his sorrow and grief in them

Anyways just a heads up but i'll probably not do a lot of the prompts, or at all tbh...im just doing this for fun so i might be more lax about drawing them consistently
