woc all universally having a sanrio / hk obsession from their childhood is peak girlhood

growing up i was one of the few girls who liked sanrio (my melody is my favorite 🎀✨) and i noticed as i’ve gotten older, a lot of asian and latina and black girls really like sanrio and it makes me so!!! woc solidarity!!! i’m asian but i wanna know your thoughts about miggy (dbf miggy mayhaps 👀) with a woc!reader who loves sanrio 👉🏼👈🏼

i personally hc he knows a lot about hello kitty because of the little nieces in the family. he buys the cutest hello kitty merch for them like the plushies, blankets, stationary, but if they like a specific character like pochacco or keroppi, he is on the HUNT for them

and oh no, shopping with dbf!miggy when you come across the sanrio store at the mall and he sees how excited you get when you see the stuffies in the window and how you’re trying not to burst at the seams from the cuteness, and he finds it so cute that he takes you inside and treats you to a stuffie of your choice 🥹

imagine the both of you going to the mall or something and the moment you spot a shop with sanrio plushies + items, you’d automatically shake his arm in excitement…. and when you drag him into the shop he thinks it’s silly how much you love her but finds it endearing at the same time 😖

you’ll look around and groan at the price tags because let’s be real all sanrio stuff is expensive as FUCK and nobody is paying all that, but miguel notices and he’s like “escoja lo que tú quieres muñeca, te lo compro” and your soooo giddy because hello?

“reaallyyy?!” you beam, looking at him with a surprised expression, knowing damn well he’d give you absolutely anything you want…. talk about spoiled 😒

“really, preciosa” he smiles back, “don’t care about the price tag, just pick somethin’”

once you pick out your item of choice he gladly swipes his card on the machine and walks out the store with you, seeing how happy you are as you thank him and tippy toeing to plant a kiss on his cheek making him smile so wide…… he’d do anything for his beautiful girl and that includes supporting your hello kitty addiction ☺️🎀
