After the defeat of the Rhoynish army by the Valyrian dragonlords, Princess Nymeria of Ny Sar led the Rhoynar in exile. The surviving Rhoynar eventually landed in Southestearn Dorne. Princess Nymeria struck an alliance with the Lord of the Sandship, head of House Martell, Mors. On their wedding day, Nymeria burnt her fleet and declared Mors to be the Prince of Dorne. Their union formed House Nymeros Martell of Sunspear, and conquered the whole of Dorne under their common rule. The couple had four daughters, the eldest succeeding Nymeria, now remembered as a warrior queen.
