Premiere

“I hate these,” Bona moans to you. You look down at her with a furrowed brow.

“Hate…what? Getting to go to the premiere of your very first, very awesome, movie that you wrote?” You laugh and link arms with Bona. “Go ahead and hate it, I’ll love it for the both of us.” 

Bona snorts. “There’s so many people. And photographers.” Her nose wrinkles with distaste. 

You grin. “You look amazing as always, lovey.” You point to Bona’ lacey red dress, short and fitted. “I love the necklace. Besides, they don’t care about us. We’re not the stars.” You gesture to where Park Shin-hye and Kim Seokjin are posing for the paparazzi. 

“Thank god we aren’t.” 

As the director comes over, big smiles to talk with Bona, you stay off to the side, watching the proceedings with fascination. The reporters are throwing questions at your best friend, the screenwriter, and despite her nerves, Bona handles them all flawlessly. 

You grin before letting your eyes drift back to where they desperately want to go.
