is it an unpopular opinion if i hate mr bates 😭 he just sets my teeth on edge so much i skip scenes that are about him. he speaks so aggressively for no reason to people who don’t deserve being spoken to in that tone. he’s rude to people who have helped him. his cheeks vibrate when he’s angry and threatening mrs hughes for information. he has an air of being high and mighty even though he tries to look humble. i just don’t see the appeal. i can never warm up to him
