Role Model Mom
☀️ 🎪 ♌ ~ Moxee sighed as she put Marvel down for a nap, tired from her little sweetheart’s antics. It was a long day and she had to get some groceries for her, Romeo, and Marvel so this was a perfect time for her to attend to that errand. She switched out of her messy t-shirt and jeans and decided to put on a blue dress with lace trim at the bottom. She grabbed her scarlet purse and headed out.
Walking through the aisles the mother looked over nutrients in things, using some of the knowledge she recently learned to her advantage. She was working on getting her high school degree and was learning a lot about health and how to make better choices.
After making sure everything was what she would consider healthy, she went to fetch the last item on her list, cinnamon applesauce. Strolling with her full cart she saw someone standing in front of the applesauce that she and her daughter both desired. “’Scuse me, you’re in front of the applesauce,” she stated with an awkward smile. She had been working on her temper, making sure not to swear and be a role model for her daughter.
Bored Bartender
🍸 🎺 ♏ ~ Romeo shined the shot glasses as he watched the people around him partying and having fun. A sigh left his mouth as he reminisced about the days when he would party like that. It wasn’t really that long ago, but it felt like it was. A year ago he’d be one of the people out there dancing until he was sweating through his shirt, and still being one of the sexiest people on the dancefloor.
Putting down one of the shot glasses a little too angrily, he could feel glass enter his hand. “Fuck,” he muttered to himself under his breath. Picking the glass out of his hand, he threw the glass in the disposal bin. Seeing someone sit at the bar he muttered, “I’ll be with you soon.” He grabbed the first aid box and headed to the bathroom to patch up his hand.
“Fucking hell. Why did I choose this fucking job,” he mumbled to himself. He didn’t make an easy choice, though. He knew he was an alcoholic, yet he took the job anyway. It would help him get over his addiction. Sighing again he came out of the bathroom and placed the box back. Walking over to the customer at the bar he asked, “What’ll it be?”
