Nevaeh Lu Mirienna - Tumblr Posts
It took me a while, but this is finally done.
This is one of my main ocs. Her name is Nevaeh Lu Mirienna, and at the point in the story this drawing comes from, she's a Jedi Knight/General living during the Clone Wars.

Sometimes even I'm confused to why Nevaeh is so obsessed with Grievous.
Context: Dooku is tired of her and is essentially making Grievous care for her for the day. Will she survive? Maybe. Will it be extremely entertaining to write? Yes.

More art of my OC Nevaeh? What a surprise!
Here are some concept designs from when she accidentally takes a 4-year trip to Kalee.

I think Nevaeh is [read: I am] obsessed with Grievous a little too much.
Edit: Ironically, this is one of the most accurate descriptions of their relationship that I have ever made.

A big part of my au with my oc Nevaeh is that Grievous sees her as a mini Kummar, or a little perfect bean who needs to be protected.
I also have a bad habit of writing fics and stories in clumps of random sections in the story, while still acting like the reader has full knowledge of what's going on, so combine those and you get this.
---
“Don’t worry, General. Nothing can happen to us if we stick together!” Nevaeh laughed as she stabbed another clone. “Besides, we only need to hold our position for a bit longer. These clones aren’t endless!”
“The Huk aren’t endless!”
Grievous laughed nervously. Mirienna raised an eyebrow but Grievous was saved from the young Sith’s imminent interrogation when their comlinks chimed.
Nevaeh glanced at the datapad on her wrist and muttered a Kaleesh insult under her breath, to Grievous’ amusement.
“The northern wing is being overrun. Stay here, I’ll take care of it.”
“What happened to staying together?” Grievous replied.
“Don’t worry Grievous, I’ll be back before you even notice I’m gone!”
“Don’t worry Sheelal, I’ll be back before your puny male brain even registers my absense!”
“Kummar…” Grievous whispered.
“Pardon?”
“Nothing. Go quickly.” Grievous rolled his shoulders back and prepared for another wave of clones.
Nevaeh hesitated.
“I said go!” Grievous snapped. With this new motivation, Mirienna quickly ran down the hall.
For the next few minutes, Grievous fell into a near trance, slicing and dicing clones without a second thought.
“Seriously, if I had known it was going to be this easy, I would have sent someone else to fight this battle. Where are all the Jedi anyways? Probably getting defeated by Mirienna. Ugh.” Grievous thought aloud.
The thought of Mirienna suddenly reminded Grievous of what she was doing, and he extinguished one of his lightsabers to access his comlink.
“Mirienna, you have failed to check in. Have you reestablished control of the northern wing?”
After saying this, Grievous chided himself. “She has only been gone a few minutes,” he thought, “Why am I so worried?”
However, his fears persisted as the channel remained silent.
“Mirienna? Mirienna?”
“Kummar? Kummar?”
“Nevaeh, answer me!”
“Ronderu? Where are you?!”
Something was wrong.
Split between his loyalty to stick to his post and his concern for Mirienna, Grievous killed a final clone with a “hmph” and ran for the North Wing, trampling clones underfoot as he went.
Green blood went flying, but Sheelal hardly saw the Huks before he cut them down.
“Nevaeh!”
Looking up, Sheelal could see a fight taking place on the nearby cliff. A Huk fell off the edge, tumbling into the ocean.
He ran faster.
Blaster shots singed his armor, but Grievous didn’t care or notice. Only one thing mattered now.
He bolted up the side of the cliff, his brain screaming at his exhausted body to go faster, faster, FASTER!”
“Oh, ancestors…” Grievous thought, “Please…”
There was a cry of pain. Sheelal ran faster than he ever had before. And as he reached the top of the cliff, he was just in time to see a body holding two familiar Lig swords tumble off the cliff.
“KUMMAR!” Sheelal screamed.
“...Please do not let it be too late…”
Grievous barreled around the corner, nearly hitting Mirienna, who was holding a stolen clone comlink, attempting to rewire it.
“Oh hi Grievous, my comlink got shot so I was rewi-”
Overcome with relief, Grievous picked Mirienna up and hugged her. She let out a surprised squeak and he quickly dropped her, his embarrassment clearly visible.
In the first instant Grievous saw the young Sith, he had wanted to throw her across the room. Why should she live, when Kummar hadn’t?
It wasn’t fair!
But as Grievous stared into her innocent, two colored eyes, his anger melted into something different.
It wasn’t fair, but Grievous understood now. Mirienna – Nevaeh – was a blessing from the gods. She was a second chance for Grievous. Kummar may not have lived, but Grievous would never let the same thing happen to Nevaeh.
“W-what was that?” She panted, shocked.
Grievous stared at her, trying to find a good excuse to explain his behavior. But after a few seconds, he realized that nothing would work. Nevaeh knew him too well.
Ironic.
He straightened his face the best he could, turned around, and walked out of the room.
“...Come on. He battle is not over yet.”
And Nevaeh faithfully followed him.
I have way too much passion for this oc. I mean, just look at her! She's a darling child and I love her.

Wow, the quality of each drawing really decreases with each frame, doesn't it. My bad.
It's so fun to watch their friendship grow through roleplay and fanfic.

I don't think Gem thought this through all the way.

Hondo and Grievous are Nevaeh's dads confirmed.

Some of this is extremely out of context haha.
My record longest comic! From a weird Moon-Knight-adjacent rp my cousin, @thesuperiorhyena is making with me. Set is having fun with his new avatar.

Nevaeh's on her way to go slaughter some younglings with Grievous, anyone wanna tag along?
She stole the cape idea from her idol, of course.

A small assortment of incorrect quotes featuring Grievous and my ocs Nevaeh and Joel.

Hondo is very difficult to draw. I recently discovered an abundance of incorrect quotes I can exploit, and I will be attempting to draw them all, so be prepared.

I bring more Grievous and Nevaeh antics inspired by incorrect quotes... Though the second one is actually already accurate as Nevaeh does decide that she would rather live in the vents of Grievous' lair than in Dooku's stuffy snuffy castle.
*Sighs.* Drawing emotions is hard.

He's in denial.
Oh wow, thanks for the fast response! I had to reread sections of this a couple times before I was actually able to read the whole thing because I'm so happy to how much you understand.
Oh Nevaeh got so, so, so many visual changes. Like way too many. Like way way way too many. Like neither of these are Nevaeh's most updated look/clothing but you can already tell how different they are.

You get the idea.
Ooh I love that book! I own it actually, its just been a while since I've read it so I'll have to read it again. Rael Averross is one of my favorite characters, and he actually did actually inspire Nevaeh's character a lot.
Ah, ok, that makes more sense, good to know. Ooh I've read that comic as well and I love it, though I'm probably the only person in the galaxy going "dang it, I wish Grievous had won".
Just Grievous things indeed. I love all the little details you're noticing!
Kummar supremacy!
Uhh I've got a drawing somewhere...

Boom found it, so as you can tell it's about Vaderish, but not quite since each cyborg is different. (I didn't draw the rest of the limbs but I think you can probably tell what is cybernetic, and what is not.) Ironically, I never intended for her to be so cybernetic, but as the story developed I kept hitting "you know it would be cool if this part was cybernetic too" and "oh this would enable me to do this and that" and look where we ended up. Well, I'm sure a bit more pain wouldn't hurt Nevaeh that much? *Dumps trauma and pain.*
I will try to tag you if/once I get around to working on that Joel post, I'll see what I can do! And that's wonderful, may Grievous kill you more gruesomely and violently than ever before then!
I struggle a lot at cohesively dumping information about my characters and aus, so I'll try to do a decent job now so I don't have to do more in the future.
Nevaeh was born in the underworld of Coruscant about 38 BBY. Due to her overprotective family and low-powered Force signature, Nevaeh was not brought to the Jedi Temple until she was 6. This, along with the fact her master was made a Jedi Knight long before he was ready, stunted Nevaeh's Jedi growth and made her quite stubborn. About a year before the Clone Wars started, when Nevaeh was 15 going on 16, Nevaeh and her master, Klemens Silway, were sent on a diplomatic mission to the tiny planet Daktoyn, which ended up being a long extended stay that resulted in Nevaeh meeting Joel and Nevaeh beginning to learn the deceit hidden behind the glorious walls of democracy of the Galatic Republic. Eager to discover more and figure out what was really going on in the galaxy, Nevaeh became a Jedi Commander under her master when the Clone Wars broke out. However, on one fateful mission, Nevaeh had her first encounter with General Grievous and barely made it out alive. She loses several important limbs and organs in the process (majority due to the fact Nevaeh is allergic to bacta, so many of the injuries that could have been quickly healed with bacta got way out of hand and Nevaeh couldn't survive if they waited for them to heal naturally), causing Klemens to feel extremely guilty about letting his young, small Padawan undergo that herself. But Nevaeh wasn't traumatized. Well, she probably was, but what really stood out to her from that experience was how incredible Grievous was. Republic propaganda had shaped him into a merciless monster, but in that short encounter with him, Nevaeh saw something beyond what she had been told, and it became her personal mission to figure out just what made Grievous Grievous, and what made Grievous grievous. (Hope that makes sense haha!) As the war carried onwards, Nevaeh showed remarkable skill on the battlefield and was granted temporary General status, despite still being a Padawan...and a minor. Later, Nevaeh realized just how wrong it was to put inexperienced children on the battlefield, and the independence that came along with her new title allowed her to see even more evidence that brought her much mistrust of the Republic. In a final desperate attempt to understand what was going on, she went to Dooku and pleaded for him to take her as his new apprentice/a dark acolyte (this is just one of the points in this AU where the line between canon and legends is a little fuzzy, please bear with me). Surprisingly, Dooku accepted, curious to see what havoc this little ball of chaos could benefit the CIS with. However, it wasn't long until Dooku realized Nevaeh was unsatisfied with her role as his personal assassin and wished to be back on the battlefield. Partially to get Nevaeh off his hands, partially to see how Nevaeh would do fighting against her old friends, but mostly just to see how much it would bother Grievous, Dooku assigned Nevaeh to work with Grievous under very strict "mwa hahaha she's my apprentice if you kill her you'll get in big poodoo" rules for maximum entertainment. At first Grievous despised Nevaeh. Why wouldn't he? But after a while, he became intrigued why the young cyborg cared so much about him and was so interested in him, and that hate turned into mild disliking, apathy, then maybe she's alright? And then he realized how much she reminded him of Kummar and his care for her snowballed but I don't feel like talking about that right now so fast-forward to Order 66.
~ haha I'm running into the character limit... ~
