I was stuck on drawing my manga paneling/pacing for a bit so I was flicking through my shelf, and ended up rereading No.6
People who ship these are all the same flavour of gay, mentally ill and/or sleep-deprived and dehydrated
ever think abt how no. 6 was a humanist dystopian animanga that was not afraid to condemn eugenics, that addressed erasure of and violence against indigenous peoples, that highlighted how vital literature and art is in keeping people grounded, that talked abt the role science can play in oppression, that highlighted the disparity between the way rich people vs. poor people live, & that told the story of people fighting for each other simply bc they are peopleā¦.. & on top of that there were found-family elements AND a nonbinary/trans character AND the main characters were gay & in love & literally took down a fascist govt. together⦠like absolute best i think

i love no. 6 and nezushi
anyone else remember No. 6?
