In my opinion Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (2004) was inspired by two of those stories
1. Spirited Away (2001)

I. First of all masks
II. Lord of hunger & Ghost of hunger
At one point No-face (your ghost) is eating everything and everyone in bathhouse.
2. Alien 3 (1992)

I. Story
Doctor in alien 3 (Jonathan Clemens) odly similar story to Atton. Bitter Sweet Romance of him with Ripley where he hides who he realy was in the past reminds me Atton and the Exile a lot.
II. Visual style overall, atmosphere, many desaturated colors.
What do you think?

Drew these whilst watching/listening to jacksepticeye's live Q&A.

So today I watched Spirited Away for the first time, or atleast a version of spirited away. (I watched the live stage version on CD)
I really liked No-Face so I drew them, but I used references from the live version because it looked cool and I couldn't find any good references from the animated movie.

Sorry about quality, my camera sucks.
It was fun trying to make the people who were apart of the bigger versions of No-Face into shapes while drawing.
Ummm YAH! This is where I’ve been strykabal community

This mask is a bit weird to try to describe. I had an idea for an abstract creepy mask, and I put it together by hand from the weird bits of leather in my scrap pile. Since the pieces come from different hides, they’ve got more variation than I usually go for from one piece to the next. I left it the natural un-dyed tan color to show that off.
The slashed openings let you see through with some occlusion, like shutter shades.
I do like how it turned out, and if other people do too I'll probably make more in this vein. This one will be unique though!

Aren't you tired of having a face?
This mask came about because I'd previously done a featureless screen/mesh mask, but wasn't super happy with that design. So I set about to shift the concept a bit. I think I personally like this one better. It reduces the shape of the face even more.
5-6 oz vegetable-tanned leather, laser-cut, hand-dyed and -stitched, then wet-formed with a minimally curved profile. Finished with a glossy acrylic coat.
And it's up on my Etsy shop!

Day 9 No face, mouse and bird - spirited away

No-Face (顔無し)
“Ah… Ah... Ah.„~ No Face
The Kaonashi, or No-Face as he tends to be called in the English releases of the film, is the secondary antagonist of Studio Ghibli's 12th full-length animated feature film Spirited Away.
No-Face is a dark spirit who resembles a black humanoid being with a white mask. He devours other spirits and can absorb their emotions into his own soul, causing him to take on their attitudes, especially negative ones, which lead to his transformation into a villain (until his redemption).
Though he never truly speaks, his moans and coos were performed by Akio Nakamura in the Japanese version, and Bob Bergen in the English dubbed version.
When I saw it I just loved it, shortly afterwards I bought it and then gave it away.
