Noa \ Leon. - Tumblr Posts

" are you single ? " it's a questions she asks on a near-daily basis, always seems to forget to start by prefacing that she isn't asking for herself, meaning it's always followed by a laugh, and a quick correction. " i'm not asking for me, oh god no— no offence ! i just- i'm a matchmaker, " as she speaks now, she's pulling out her business card and handing it to him, painted smile on her lips. " i think the whole musician thing could be a real hit if you're looking to date. " closed ft. @hecticlife
noa's smile turns into a grimace the moment he places the cigarette between his lips, hand waving in front of her face dramatically before any smoke is created. " ugh, seriously ? at least wait until i'm out if the vicinity. i don't want to be infected by your second-hand smoke, thank you very much. " the brunette takes a quick step back, fixing her outfit before she composes herself once again. just because he smoked didn't mean he was undeserving of love. someone out there wouldn't hate it, that she's sure of. " well, the rockstar appeal can also attract the wrong kind of people. that's where i come in. this is one of those situations where you'd just have to trust me. i can't give away my secrets. "

"ouch," leon chuckles when the other says they're not interested in him. it doesn't hurt too much. "a matchmaker? what do you do?" he wonders. he has been looking to date. or at least hook up. the whole thing with his ex is still on his mind and he wants -needs- to forget about her. it's too painful. "i guess it's the rockstar appeal," the blond teases as he pulls a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and brings one to his lips. "i do like to think i'm not an asshole, i try really hard. but there are people out there that ... you know."

to her surprise, he puts the cigarette away. an act which earns him a singular point in her in-mind rating system. " you know, i don't really like to tell people what to do, " a major lie, she loves it, " but you should really quit. are you aware of how much smoking can age a person ? hello, who wants premature wrinkles ? no one sane, that's who. " noa doesn't realize how she sounds sometimes. in her head she's saying it for his own benefit, unaware that it may come across rather rude. " oh, so you'd come in, we'd do an intensive questionnaire, then my brain does the rest. it knows a good match when it sees one. "

leon looks up from the cigarette on his lips that he's about to light, the other's reaction startling him. "okay," he shrugs and puts the cigarette back in the pack. "i smoke too much anyway," the blond confesses. if this woman wasn't talking shit and was an actual and real matchmaker, maybe it could be fun to try new things. "you're so very right," leon nods his head at the mention of attracting the wrong people. the music industry is pretty fucked up, you are either lucky or have to know how to set boundaries really well. the man is a mix of both. "how does it work tho?" he asks. "do i give you an interview or something?"

" don't they have patches for that ? " noa questions, again trying not to sound judgmental. everyone has an addiction, hers just so happens to be shopping. it's a habit she deems to be pretty healthy, but her credit card bills may beg to differ. " yes, intensive. i'm very thourough. by the time we’re done i’ll know what you need more than you do. ” smile reappears when he agrees to sign up, hand extending forward. “ give me your phone, i’ll put in my business number and we can arrange for you to come into the office when you’re free.”

"yeah, i know," leon chuckles softly as he nods his head. "i've been smoking since i was sixteen though. so, it's really hard to quit." he doesn't tell her that he's tried a few times, but he always relapses and goes back to smoking even more. he's trying to cut his intake, but it's too damn difficult. he wishes he never started smoking in the first place. "intensive, huh?" his curiosity sparks up. he's been interviewed before, sure, but mostly about his music. this seems more... personal. and it sounds like a risk worth taking. it could be fun. he'll probably regret it when he's seventy if he doesn't do it now. "okay. i'm in."

“ i hear hypnotherapy works wonders. or meditation. anything has to be worth a try. ” noa takes the phone from leon, manicured fingers typing quickly. so used to being on her own device she thinks she could navigate one with her eyes closed. “ cute, ” she responds, slight roll of her eyes before she types in her name, cupid in brackets after. with a bright smile she hands the phone back and takes a breath. “ okay, well, i’ve got to run. places to be, lives to change. but you’ll be hearing from me soon. i suggest you answer when i call because i’m impossible to ghost. toodles, ” she adds, gives a small wave before she’s walking off.

"tried 'em. don't work," leon shrugs and then chuckles at the thought of her knowing him better than he does. is it really possible? the blond is very prone to oversharing. he loves it. telling stories is so fun, it also sometimes makes him make sense of things in another light. "cool, thank you." the man takes out his phone, there aren't any new messages or mails or any sort of notifications. it's a little disappointing. nonetheless, he opens the keypad and hands it over. "just type non-smoking cupid and i'll know it's you," leon teases.
