Amid a lull in his cases, Nick Valentine receives a holotape from none other than the Ghoul Mayor of Goodneighbor himself, John Hancock. He and Ellie are tasked with finding the only thing that can really get a Goodneighbor midsummer party started - the Jackalope. The only trouble? It's been stolen, and it's up to Nick and Ellie to find it before the festivities in Goodneighbor commence.
I saw a dire lack of Ellie x Nick fics on ao3, so this is my (admittedly silly) answer to that!
