I found your Isabela Madrigal headcanon and I wanted to say: headcanon accepted, but Bruno knows too and just feels like letting Camilo flounder if it ever comes up again. Consider it a pinch of payback for "feasts on your screams". (Also I bet Isabela totally insulted the quality of Bruno's sand when she was little once and told him not to plant anything in his room)

Bruno only knows because he caught Isabela eating the sand in his room. She prefers sand as the occasional seasoning, kinda like how someone wouldn't want to eat an entire container of basil or whatever, but would put some in their meals for flavoring.

Once he's back after the movie, Bruno and Isabela decide to gaslighting Camilo on whether or not Isabela actually eats dirt. Placing different versions of the dirt and non-dirt food everywhere, switching them out when he isn't looking. At one point, Isabela comes back from gardening with dirt in odd places that really sells the idea to Camilo she might have been eating dirt along the way.
