LOOK AT THEM! I LOVE THEM!! I absolutely LOVE how this drawing turned out IZZY AND VIOLET JUST LOOK SO CUTE AND PRECIOUS AND PERFECT!!
I recently reread the short story I wrote about them (I mentioned it in this post too (which was also inspired by that same short story)) and I'm currently rewriting it. As I was inspiration struck and hence this drawing was born. To briefly summarise the story it is about Izzy and Violet being unable to sleep and star gazing together, taking place before they started dating and when they were just crushing on eachother (ft some mild angst hehe). There's 2 versions of the story, one from Violet's POV and the other from Izzy's POV. I'm debating wether or not to post the stories once there done butttt I'll see =)

MEET MY OC: Derek ⏳️
I plan to eventually make posts like this for all my characters (I am currently working on the drawings for Noah and Izzy) so look out for those! I was gonna talk about his backstory but it contains a lot of spoilers for the prologue and the main story 😬
Fun fact: Despite me rarely talking about him, Derek is actually the main character of the story. I gotta show this boi more love tbh
MEET MY OC: Izzy ⚡️
Is the anatomy a lil off? Yes. But I don't know how to fix it and i used like 4 different references trying to make it look right but it's ok cause I never draw running poses like that so I challenged myself.

One day, she runs into Derek (literally. She ran into him. She's not very good at controlling her direction and stopping when she's using her power) and when she hears about his mission to fight against Reed, she is all for it and wants to be involved, seeing it as a dream come true. Finally, the adventure she had longed for her whole life.

Power: Superspeed
Backstory: Izzy is a girl that's always seeked adventure and has longed for more in her life. She dreams of traveling outside of her kingdom (which is the smallest of all the kingdoms in their world) and going on a magnificent life changing journey but doesn't have to means to do that. She believes there is more waiting for her somewhere out there in the world, new friends, new potential, new places to see, she's just waiting for the day that'll happen. This stems from the fact she had difficulty making friends and fitting in growing up, particularly in school, as she had trouble with social interactions and had a fear of judgement. If she did make friends, she could never seem to keep them. She wants a fresh start and to find herself but doesn't know how to go about doing that.
MEET MY OC: Kelsey 🖌
I go through phases with my OCs where I'll think about/draw/write about one OC more then the rest for a period of time and currently that OC is Kelsey. I struggled so hard trying to think of an outfit for her but I like the final design I came up with (mainly cus it's yellow and yellow is my favourite colour)
She's very caring and protective of others, particularly her younger siblings and her friends. She'll always check on others to see how their doing or try to cheer them up after they've had a bad day. She's the sort of person that can't stand up for herself but if she sees someone else getting picked on she's standing up for them immediately, no second thoughts.

Power: Forcefields
Backstory: Kelsey is someone that knows what she want in her life. She has goals she's wants to achieve and works hard for them. She likes art, particularly painting, and would love to be an art teacher one day, to teach people to see art the way she sees it and encourage creativity.
When Derek shows up at her kingdom, hungry and injured, she is the first person to come to his aid. When she finds out about what Reed is doing, the suffering he causes upon others, she wants to help stop him in any way she can and volunteers to join Derek in his mission.
MEET MY OC: Arlo 🎾
Her colour scheme reminds me of a watermelon tbh (was not intentional but it's still cute)
Due to everyones fear of her power, Arlo uses her power sparingly, often only using it for mundane tasks or when she absolutely needs to. Because of this, her power has grown weak due to it being mostly unused.

Age: 16 years old
Power: Energy absorption
Backstory: Arlo is from a village predominantly occupied by the powerless (people without powers). Even her parents are powerless. People in her village don't really understand these strange abilities and some are even scared of powers. Arlo's power is one that people are scared of because, for Arlo to create objects out of energy, she has to first absorb that energy from somewhere else. She often does this by absorbing a small amount of her own energy or absorbing plant energy, but people are still fearful of her. What's to stop her from draining the energy from another person? It could kill them if Arlo absorbed too much! Of course, Arlo would never kill someone and is super careful with her power to avoid just that, but people are still weary around her.
When she meets Derek, Derek sees her use her power and isn't scared by it. Instead, he sees potential. He sees a power that can be used to do something extraordinary if taught and trained properly. He offers to teach Arlo, to show her the full potential of her power. At first, Arlo turns his offer down, scared of going too far and confirming everyones fears. But after helping Derek win a fight against Reed, she too begins to see the potential of her power and agrees to join Derek to stop Reed and to learn to understand her power better.
MEET MY OC: Casper 🔧
I used Dolores from Encanto as inspiration for his pose because it was a struggle. I am not use to coming up with and drawing this many unique poses but at least it’s good practice.
He is friends with Noah, and could be considered Noah's only friend. They are very close as Casper is the only one who believes in Noah and supports him. He comforts Noah when he's down and reminds him to look after himself.

Power: Sense manipulation
Backstory: Casper is from the kingdom of Tenameeva. His dad is the inventor for the royal family, creating things to improve the quality of life for others and to strengthen the defences of Tenameeva. Casper works as an assistant for his dad, training to one day become an inventor just like him. Along the way, he is taught how to be resourceful and how to build machinery.
When Derek arrives at Tenameeva, he meets Noah first and Noah decides to join him on his journey. He tells Casper about it as he is about to leave and Casper tries to discourage him. There are a lot of risks, it could be dangerous, Noah could get hurt or even worse, killed. But Noah is adamant, this is what he wants to do, he wants to leave Tenameeva. Casper, not wanting to lose his friend so suddenly, impulsively decides to join him. Derek let's him join them because he thinks it would be useful to have someone as intelligent and resourceful as Casper on the team.
MEET MY OC: Violet 🌷
At last, I present to you all the final member of Derek's team, Violet!
I plan to do these sorts of posts again for the villains of the story, but I wanna take a little break first and draw some ideas and write some stories I've had gathering in my mind for a while now.
Power: Teleportation

Age: 17 years old
Backstory: Violet is an orphan. She has vague memories of her family and what they look like. She remembers her mother and father, she remembers she had a sister but doesn't know where any of them are. She's always dreamed of finding them one day, finding answers as to why she was left at the orphanage. What happened.
She has never been adopted. When unadopted orphans turn 16, they are expected to start working and saving up money as when they turn 18 and officially become adults, they'll be expected to leave the orphanage and make a new life for themselves. Violet tries to make the most out of her situation. For the past year, she has been working in the local market place, trying to save money as her 18th birthday is months away and she'd be expected to leave.
She meets Derek and the gang when they come to replenish their supplies. She mainly talks to Izzy as she finds the girls energetic personality endearing. Izzy tells Violet all about Derek, Reed, the other members of their team, telling Violet how they've been traveling from village to village, following Reed's tracks to catch him and put a stop to his evil deeds. Violet takes an interest in this. She's going to be kicked out of the orphanage soon anyway, why not do it off her own accord? Maybe this could be the chance to adventure and find her family, to find answers! It's an opportunity she wouldn't miss for the world.
I recently watched the eras tour film with my sister and i LOVE Taylor’s outfits in it. With the release of her new album (which i haven’t listened to yet but i plan to soon) i was feeling super inspired to draw my OCs in her outfits. So I present to you Izzy in Taylor’s Lover outfit and Arlo in her Red outfit!! ❤️🩷

I LOVE how this drawing turned out tbh. I’ve been listening to a lot of MARINA again recently and this idea popped into my head. This is my OC Raven, I have been thinking about him and his sister Dove and their lore a lot and they are my current go to OCs.

This is a redraw of a drawing from 3 years ago that I started but never finished because I hated how it looked. Originally the characters in the drawing were Izzy and Violet but I changed it to be Izzy and Kelsey because I don't draw them interacting enough and I love their friendship.

I really liked this idea but when I drew this I was going through burn out so rushed through the sketch and line art and didn't take the time to properly draw things so the proportions and perspective were wack and I just ended up hating it. Compared to other drawings I did around that same time it just wasn't up to my usual standard. I'm happy to say that I've definitely improved a lot tho since then so yipeeee!! 😁🥳
