I am not going to stand in the Rose Garden and hold your hand while you tell the White House Press Corp that you had an affair with Olivia Pope that lasted a year and then ended and then started again and then ended and then started again.

1. “Dance Off Into The Sun”
Because I legitimately feel like this saying “I love you” without saying “I love you” since the sun is such an important theme, word, idea etc. to them specifically as a couple and as individuals
2. Everything About 5x18
Because I think it’s just an entire episode that epitomizes how much they mean to each other, how vulnerable and emotionally safe they can be together, Olivia’s walls are broken down in 5x18 and they’re happy and they’re going to be happy and it’s going to be great and then it’s ruined and they’re both absolutely devastated.
3. First Meet
Like I said, instant chemistry, instant connection, instant banter, it’s just a flirty, nice breezy fun scene.
4. 5x10 Sex Scene
Legit, it’s just hot.
5. Gettysburger/Beer
I like it when couples have “things” and as someone who actually just loves burgers I was super happy that burgers was one of their things and I mean, she listens to him, respects his tastes etc. they’re nice details.
6. Bring Him Back
Because Olivia goes hard for Jake and I always live for when she pushes Fitz to save him.
7. 5x15 Scenes
Every time I watch these things I’m like, oh my lord and hmmmmmm at the same time because it’s an epitome of why I like the back-and-forth between Olake more than Olitz because they play each other and it is most definitely tit for tat. When Jake breaks into her house, there is a sense of getting Olivia to relinquish control, getting her to surrender to the pleasure that he can make her feel. Olivia responds to that by crashing his dinner date and dominating him with the pleasure she can make him feel.
And this is about more than just sex, this is a psychological game in which they’re both proving to each other that no one understands the other like they can and they both do it:

8. “Do Over”
because I remember just being so refreshed at having something other than Olitz and while I liked Edison and Olivia together, I knew it was never going to be Edison, Olivia was so absent in that relationship so when Jake makes the “do over” speech, I was like lord yes, she needs a do over, I need a do over, this show needs a do over, something different, come on.
9. Any time Jake drags her
And I put this in because when Jake drags Olivia, she deserves it. Even if what he says is hurtful it’s not malicious because it’s not unprovoked or unneeded, she needs to hear what he’s telling her because he’s not wrong and someone has to tell her the things she doesn’t want to hear and 99% of the time that’s Jake.
10. “I Do Summon You”
Because, Olivia, you’re the one who showed up to his apartment, naked, so like, lol, OK, girl.
11. “I’m Scared”
Because emotional intimacy.
12. 3x12 Phone Conversation
Because I thought it was an interesting conversation about fears. She fears being her mother, she fears the fact that she felt something for Jake, something outside of her thing for Fitz and she’s admitting that.
