A faint blush graced his cheeks, yet he stood his ground without faltering. He gently pressed his face against your neck once more, murmuring softly, "I love you." It was a tender and intimate act, allowing him to express his emotions comfortably.

You couldn't help but giggle at his adorable antics, finding them both heartwarming and entertaining. You gently cupped his face, tilting it upward to meet his eyes, amusement evident in your expression.

"You know you don't have to hide, right?" you said softly, your voice filled with warmth. "I love it when you share your thoughts with me, especially when they're as sweet as this."

His eyes sparkled with gratitude, and a shy smile formed on his lips. Although he might have been initially hesitant, he found comfort in knowing that you accepted him just the way he was.

From that moment forward, Jake's habit of nuzzling his face on your neck became a delightful part of your interactions. It became a secret language between the two of you, a way to express affection and communicate without needing to utter a single word.
