The heat.
If there was one thing he dreaded the most as of this moment as he followed the Straw Hats was the heat.
When they arrived in the morning it was cold and now as the afternoon came, the sun was burning hot.
He unbuttoned a couple more buttons of his black shirt as he huffed and grumbled to himself about the heat. You and the rest were doing fine under the sun whilst he was getting uncomfortably stuffy but him being him, he concealed it from the crew.
You glanced behind you to check on the Captain of the Heart pirates, and saw through his facade.

Your fingers gently ran through the soft black locks of your boyfriend’s head as you absentmindedly read a book while his head rested on your lap.
Soft snores coming from him reaching your ears and you glanced down at him.
Mouth slightly open and eyes shut in a deep sleep, you chuckled at the adorable sight. You gently caressed his cheek and felt how rather dry they were.
So the answer to dry cheeks was moisturiser.
It was just supposed to be just moisturiser but you got carried away and gave him a full skin care treatment. You gently moved his head to a pillow, doing your best not to wake him up as you went to get the sheet mask from your drawer.
Bent over Ace, you gently applied the mask on his face and you proudly stood to look at your handiwork.
“My cutie,” you giggled to yourself.
“Y/N, have you seen Ace yoi,” Marco stepped into your room and your head whipped to the door with your finger to your lips telling him to keep quiet.
He raised a brow and scanned the room till he saw Ace, fast asleep on your bed. He gently shut the door close once he had stepped inside, and stood beside you to look at the Second Division Commander.

The Moby Dick docked itself by the coast of this island that they haven’t come across before. As far as Pops knew, this was one of the many uncharted islands that have not been recorded in any map, either because no one has ever lived to tell the tale or no one spoke of it so that it will remain secret.
Which you guessed meant there must be something very special on that island and naturally as always, some sort of danger.
“What are we looking for again?” Ace asked Pops, adjusting his hat on his head.
“Something shiny?” You appeared by Pops left shoulder, your eyes sparkling with curiosity but when your mind thought of another possibility of why Pops was eager to go to this island, your gaze darkened as a slight demonic aura took over. “Or are we hunting something down?”
“Yeah Pops, have we been chasing someone who double crossed you?” Ace murmured, his finger in flames.
Pops only laughed.
You pressed your cheek against Whitebeard’s protectively, pouting slightly at the idea of someone trying to come for the old man.
“Who messed with ya Pops? I’ll give them a lesson they’ll never forget,” you huffed.
“Having a daughter is the best,” Whitebeard chuckled, ruffling your hair and you only grinned and kissed him on the cheek.
“I know I’m your favourite!”
The other commanders now eyed you.
“There are no favourites!” Haruta raised his voice.
“What favourites?”Vista raised his brow.
“Pops loves us all equally!?” A crew member yelled.
“Geez, ladies, calm down,” You raised your hands in defence.
“I was kidding,” you shrugged making your way to the edge of the ship to explore the island. “Or was I?”
“Take Ace with you!” Pops called out before you could jump over.
“I don’t need a babysitter!”
Ace grinned up at you and you felt your heart beat fast. Nope nope nope, you told yourself. Ace is just Ace. But oh my god…that smile gets you every time. NO.
“If we are going after someone, I have a plan!” Your best friend excitedly threw his arm over your shoulder and though you were good at hiding your feelings, or so you thought, the Commanders were all smirking as they noticed the small hint of a blush on your face, your arms crossed over your chest.
“No fires,” you deadpanned and his lips jutted out, pouting.
“Oh well… then…I don’t have a plan…let’s just wing it!”
“They really think they’re going to beat someone up,” Izou pinched the bridge of his nose.

The three Straw Hat’s comprising Luffy, Chopper, and Brook, as well as Hatchan and Caimie, listened intently as Shakky informed them about what was called the ‘Worst Generation’.
“It’s not every day that so many of the world’s rookies all show up at the same time.”
Chopper’s eyes were wide with curiosity and a mix of fear as the people Shakky mentioned were pirates who had bounties as much as his Captain’s and one who had more.
“Especially Kid, Luffy Hawkins, Y/N, Law…these names showed up on newspapers all the time.”
“I don’t read the newspaper,” Luffy responded, not really fazed by those names. They were just names.
“Also, as for why Captain Kid’s bounty is higher than yours…it’s because he causes serious harm to civilians. Not very charming is he?” A smirk tugged on her lips. “That’s why I’m behind you guys 100%.” She then smiled. “Oh, and also Y/N’s.”
“Y/N?” Chopper tested out the name.
“She’s good company and unlike Kid, has some mercy when it comes to those caught in the crossfire. She’s kinder than any pirate I’ve come across…it takes a lot to get her angry but um, just don’t piss her off.”Shakky winked at them.
