slight spoliers for cobra kai s6 pt 1
ooh i just started getting into the world of cobra kai less than a year ago and i'm having such a fun time watching the new season but oh my god i didn't know that this fandom was so nasty like damn. like oona o'brien's (devon) post celebrating the premiere of the new season was flooded with comments from people whining about what devon does to kenny to the show, acting as if she did this irl to dallas. then you got the whole shit between the robby fans vs the miguel fans with the episode five fight where it's like, honestly if you watched the show over the seasons, it was bound to end this way. robby was gonna have to beat miguel somehow. as a miguel AND robby fan, i do feel like robby is a bit ooc ngl, but im not going to get into screaming matches over this because it's so stupid.
i'm kinda glad that i have my small spaces of people who talk to me about shows i like because being in full-fledged fandoms again just seems way too much.
and this is why my ass is staying FAR away from miguel x reader tumblr fics. most of the ao3 fics on there for him are teen but then for some reason there's an abundance of miguel/johnny on there (not miguel & johnny but miguel/johnny) which concerns me. im just hoping that that they mistagged but... that's a lot of people mistagging.
bruh... like babe seriously? ik that the actors are fine as fuck (and they are fine as fuck) but the characters are minors. like op said, xolo, jacob, gianni, (+ griffin, and dallas and oona tho idk if people are being weird about oona and devon) started out on the show as young as 16 (griffin/dallas/oona even younger than that). they're all grown now but don't be fucking WEIRD!
this is going to be controversial but this fandom is very perverted....i just wanted to see if I could find some new eli fics to celebrate the release of s6 but tell me why the tag is filled with so much smut?!
these characters are canonically MINORS! it makes me feel so gross that there are explicit fics with photos of these literal children on them! xolo, gianni, and jacob were under 18 when cobra kai started, doesn't it make you feel gross that the face of your smutty fic is a child?
i wanted to keep my mouth shut on it but like c'mon. can't we do better?
