MUSE: elizabeth is an author and after her best friend married her other friend/agent, she moves to California from New York to be closer to her dad again.

It was a nice day out and instead of being cooped up in her old room, she decided to head out and write somewhere else. Especially after finding out that her dad and their neighbor Mickey were a thing now. She felt like an interloper in their happiness and wanted to spend a day or two away.

Maybe up north to the Redwoods or even down south to Santa Cruz or east towards Tahoe. It was moments like this that she understood why her father had fallen in love with this place and made it their home. Packing a bag and her laptop, she drove to the nearby cafe to grab some coffee while she made up her mind on which direction to go.

Making her way out the cafe with coffee in hand, someone stood in front of her. ❝ Exuse m- ❞ her words stopped as she looked at their face. ❝ Oh, hi. I didn't know you still lived around here. ❞ Small talk was something she hated and didn't do well at all, so that was all she could think of saying.
