No worries and thanks a lot for the answer, hope it's okay for me to reblog the post! Also sorry for the heavy question there (^^;)
Note to self: Gonna keep this in mind, especially the 'Store Up' and 'Command Up' commands-
Hii, it's been a while since I send an ask and hope you're doing okay! Thanks a lot for the card redraws, I can use my old card and aaaaa- They're also the perfect size when I printed the three of them on normal paper like, the attention to detail here are just too good!!! (T^T)
I want to ask on umm... maybe the elements in general and command reels, if that's okay. Does the Oreca monsters' elements affect the amount of damage to the enemy? How do you get the command to change from one command reels to another (I mean on changing from 1* reel to 2* reel for example) and/or Store Up command?
I'm doing okay, and you're welcome! I'm very glad to hear that your old companions can join in your battle again! (^^
Also wow, this is a pretty heavy question- But I'll try my best to answer to the best of my abilities, even tho I'm not really experienced in this subject-
Please keep in mind that most of what I'm going to write here are stuff that I learned second-handedly(?) from much more experienced players from both the FB community, the Japanese Oreca Battlers community, and the JP fanwiki I hope I can do what I've learned from them justice by trying to explain this-
First of all,
Elements/Attributes affect the power of your attack by a lot
Especially if you picked the right monsters with the right element attribute with your opponent
Let's take a look at this handy dandy element table that's illustrated on the JP fanwiki

As explained by Data here, a monster with fire attribute are stronger against water attribute monsters, especially if your attacks also have the right(?) element attribute as well
And by referring to the handy dandy element table from the JP fanwiki, you can easily discern which other element are stronger from which element
But as you can see, there's also the second attribute that each elements have, like Heat, Ice, Thunder, and Poison And not mentioned on the table, there are other hidden(?) attribute like Light, Dark, Holy, and Evil

Most of these second/hidden element are usually placed as an attack's attribute, like Ares's "Heat Saber" (Heat), Dia's "Shining Claiomh Solais" (Light), Mummy's "Acid" (Poison), and many, many many more-
For more precise and detailed info, I'd suggest to check the JP fanwiki instead, but for easier understanding, just refer back to the previously introduced handy dandy element table, and/or checking each character's entry in the JP fanwiki
-----------------------------------------------
And now, here comes the most complicated and hard to explain part of this game! Say hello to the hidden mechanic with no official explanation of Oreca Battle,
Skill and Technique Cost!
As explained by JP fanwiki, there is no real official statement on this mechanic, and most of what is written on the JP fanwiki are fruit of labor and experimentation by many Oreca Battlers over the years
But let's try to simplify it a bit- This is how I understand it, and it might be wrong too, so, yea- Please take this with a grain of salt-

I'm going to use my team's Beelzebub's commands reel as an example here, like, a bad example-
Let's say that a command reel have certain but undeterminable maximum value, okay? First of all, Beelzebub's first reel have "Death", which is a very cost heavy skill This means, it's going to be pretty difficult to get "★->★★" If I don't get rid of "Death" on that first reel, it will be either be nearly impossible or took a lot of luck for a "★->★★" to shows up on that reel
And not to mention, the RNG factor- Sometime, the certain command you want to change might not get replaced, or you get a bad command instead (ex. "Critical Strike" became a normal "Attack") This RNG factor became even worse when your monster reached level 10-
For example After reaching level 10, my team's Burn, CuChulain, and Culann have the tendencies to learn "Cover" or other lower cost skill to replace other powerful commands more often than they were before reaching level 10 There was this one time when my team's Lv. 10 Burn managed to learn "★★->★★★" by pure luck, but other than that, he always insist on learning "Phoenix Cloak" instead-
This is probably why every command sample you see on the JP fanwiki always insist that you need atleast one or two "Miss"/"Smile"/"Attack"/"Save up" commands on your reel, so you can fit more "★->★★" and the likes on your reel
So if you want to increase the probability of getting more "★->★★", you will need to either replace some heavy-looking skill, or take a lot of patience-
-----------------------------------------------
And that's probably the extent of what I could explain here-
I hope I could help even if just a little bit-
A what-if the future self meets the self from a long distsnt past, a certain someone in particular...
Caution!!!
This post has mentions of:
Small mention of Self-Insert Battler
Possible Out of Character (OOC)
First-Person View from Guardian of Evil Sea Powan
Please do not continue by pressing "Keep Reading" if uncomfortable with self-insert, thanks!
To be able to meet someone from a distant past is something that she once thought to be impossible, given how people above the sea kept on going despite their different approaches to life itself. That was something clear to see, despite no words were spoken in protest.
But now... now that the current Guardian of the Evil Sea, met with her younger self in this very sea... Powan finds herself to be in mixture of shock and unease. The battler that she follows had left her and the young one alone for the time being, possibly knowing of what would happen between the two. But nonetheless...
"T-that was an amazing spell you cast earlier, ma'am...!" It was the younger self who broke the silence between them first. Powan was at a loss on what to say, but she eventually finds her words and replied back as a small smile formed on her mouth.
"Mhm, it comes from both trying out many things and practices to do." Powan said, to which her younger self gapes in awe before she looked down in somberness. The Guardian was about to ask what's wrong, until the young bubble mage eventually asks.
"Um... Can you please teach me... h-how to cast some of the spells you have?" She asks. Powan grows confused, yet she complied regardless.
"It won't be a hassle to me, so I'll do what I can to teach you." Her younger self perked up and smiling, even her posture seems to be at ease. Powan was about to begin to do so, but more than anything... there's feeling of dread coming out from her stomach that made her hesitate. "... May I ask why do you want to learn my spells?"
Powan finds herself already asked the question out loud, too late that she saw her younger self stiffened before hesitating by clutching her staff, the same staff she herself has that's too heavy yet important to simply let go. Eventually, the young bubble mage answered her question. "There's something that I want to protect, e-even though it's not for the better, ma'am..."
It was at this very moment that Powan realized and her memories are put into comparison, what will become of her younger self.
She doesn't know the tragedy that'll soon befell on her father.
She doesn't know the tragedy of what had become of her brother.
She doesn't know of what closure she'll receive at the end of the long grief ahead will entail.
Her younger self becomes confused as why she remained silent, Powan soon realized that she kept quiet for too long. She slowly crouched to Powan's height of view and lowered her staff, something that caught the bubble mage off guard and about to profusely tell her to not crouch down to her level. But the guardian of the Evil Sea prevented her from doing so.
"Would you be alright promise me something...?" Powan asks her younger self, confused and quiet but yet... yet she gives a nod regardless the odd thing asked of her.
"Promise me to be honest to yourself..." To learn what she can and cannot do regardless of the situations she'll face, where times either she'll be powerless or capable to do something.
"To both forgive and regret the things of the future ahead of you..." Of what will befall to both of her father and brother, no matter what.
"Please, Powan..." The Guardian of the Evil Sea realized her tears have fallen, dripping down to the ground below that soon becomes quiet sobs. Her younger self comes close to her and hold the older one's face with both of her small hands, mouth wobbling in both uncertainty and sadness yet can only remain quiet.
"Please... p-please, care for your family, no matter what happens."
Okay so uhhh... I have finally get to class change Earth Warrior Rock to Terra Fighter Rock today at a new mall that have tha Oreca Battle machines, and it's New Chapter 2, which is essentially the in-game chapter where Rock is the main character!
Because of that! I have made a doodle of sorts (well, if it still can be called that) to celebrate the ocassion, with my two Oreca monsters starters being both Heated Swordsman Ares and Bubble Wizard Powan!!
Big thanks to my friend, @n41r for compiling info on some locations with functionable Oreca Battle machines with me and a lot more along the way! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
Of course, it's a sketch on paper, but I hope you can enjoy the drawing regardless! (P.S. Sorry on the dark lighting if the drawing's hard to see-)

My friend and I have been another discussion about Ares, and I made this crappy edit hastily on my phone-
Okay, bit of story time!
Sooo, two days ago from today, I decided to buy the first manga volume of Oreca Battle that's being sold by a vendor online. It's a secondhand product, but it's still something rare to see, like- How come did this didn't get any attention!?!?! I actually first know of this at 22nd of this month, obviously panicked and go to DC to tell N41R what I discoved there so there's double the panic than before as a result. Timeskip to today, the manga arrived to my doorsteps and here-

This is what the manga front cover looks like.
I still can't calm myself down on how I actually got the manga, especially since it's only available in Japanese as far as I know of. Heck, even pacing around or idea typing doesn't help much to calm myself down. If my reactions can be combined into one, it'll be something like this:

Aaaaaaaa, it's shocking, full-on awe, anxious, all mixed into one!!! Gonna be reading this with N41R soon, I'm way too nervous on reading the manga alone since it's way too important to just read it by myself. Thanks a lot on reading this post of me ramble on and on about this happening when I first found out, which led to this point- (T^T)
