he really tried to shoo you off when you tried to follow him but you didn’t seem to afraid of him, even when he stomped his heavy boot in your direction and glared at you. all you did was swish your tail in response and continued to pad along a few steps behind him

you purred and nudged your head against him, giving him your best innocent eyes so he’ll let you in and give you a warm place to sleep for the night but he just slams the door in your face with a scowl

he doesn’t feel guilty about it until later that night when he sees you shivering and trembling in the rain, still sat right outside his door. ears flattened to your head and your tail curled around yourself in a sad attempt to stay warm

simon sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose before begrudgingly opening the door,

“In.” is all he says to you and you don’t need to be told twice, desperate to be off the cold, dark and mean streets even if for a couple of hours

“you’re out in the mornin’.” he grumbles, throwing a cushion from the couch at your feet along with a flimsy blanket

clearly that wasn’t good enough for you, seeing as he wakes up the next morning with a weight on his chest. he peeks down to see you sprawled out on top of him, soft purrs leaving your throat as you knead your sharp nails into his burly chest :(
