Palestine Scam - Tumblr Posts
yeah definitely yall need to be more careful. considering the fact that I just got scammed 🙃🙃🙃 like a few minutes ago 🙃🙃😭😭😭
I just checked the #palestine tag sorted by latest post and...
No exaggeration over 9/10 posts are either gofundme scammers posting their scripts or propalestinians blogging the asks of said scammers and saying "I gotchu fam".
I knew the scambots were a problem but I didn't realize it was THAT prolific.
If i were a propal activist I would be pissed about this drowning out actual content on the topic. I'm not a propal activist and I'm still pissed off. Palestinians deserve better than to have their tumblr tag taken over by scambots trying to take advantage of the sensitivities of propal leftists on this website to make a quick buck...and it seems to be working, too.
If I didn't have a sense of ethics to live by I'd put serious thought into joining in. Seems real easy to separate these people from their money. Just as susceptible to grifters as the boomer MAGA crowd and this makes me sad ngl.

Around the 21 of August,someone followed me. (account down below. Block and report them)
So I asked them "would you like me to reblog and boost your page?" after a few hours they said yes and I did so (which has been deleted by now) then they slid into my DM's asking me to donate to them (also been deleted) and being the gullible 20 year old I am...guess who donated 5 pounds...
Then I started to get that gut feeling...
after a few hours they started to pressure me I to donating more money (specifically 200$) in my response tell them that I don't have that much money (BTW this is all happening 5am...because what else would I be doing on tumblr 👀👀) so then I DONATE MORE MONEY BECAUSE I'M SMART :)))
Might I add,while this time I looked up if something similar was happening to me and there was a whole subreddit on the EXACT SAME ISSUE. (yeah i'm cooked)
Then guess who got a lovely text message from her bank saying that there was a suspicious activity....
I literally cursed to myself out loud and block that dude.
Y'all please be careful with these scams. It really makes me sad when people are exploiting such a serious issue that affecting people.

My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.

When I saw the horse comic you posted I thought the “don’t mind if I stole someone’s story” bit was funny exaggeration to get across the scammer’s true intentions in comic form. I scrolled down and was FLABBERGASTED that an actual palestine scammer said that to try and get money. What- How did that guy think that was gonna end? If this is the average intelligence of Palestine scammers I don’t think you’re going to have any trouble busting ‘em.
