Kemiri (Kem) is an Etherite A-rank Postknight staying in Etherdawn Dorm, simply one of the many postknights out there in Prism. Her uncle runs a restaurant called Edelsteen Eatery in Hollorim City, one of the major trading city in Kurestal.
B-Rank Kemiri when I just started designing her. Her eyes are more violet-pink now rather than bright magenta.
Some old references and designs. Her Sabremew pet used to be called Mr. Cotton, but I renamed it as Mr. Mochi to match her Pippops 🍡

Introducing 3/4 of my fan characters based on Postknight fandom: Alfawl, Ka'kao, and Kemiri!
Don't mind me using the Wintertide version, got no better references and art to use 😂
First up, Alfawl of Jemsworth, the merrychef/owner/manager of Edelsteen Eatery!
A former traveling chef, Alfawl (Al) has traveled around Kurestal for ten years with his Wyord companion before settling down and building his own restaurant in Hollorim City. A very affectionate and wholesome 38 old man, with extreme lack of sense of danger and bizarre acceptance/open-mindedness to everything. He's not 100% dumb, but he can be so oblivious and airheaded that it's a wonder how he's even alive sometimes.
Al got his scar on his first day of traveling back when he's 18 years old, saved (unintentionally) by a wandering mercenary who found the chef in a bandit hideout deep in the forest.
Next up, Ka'kao! Edelsteen Eatery's staff/server/security guard and Alfawl's bodyguard. The pics above are old concepts about to be revamped (especially the past version outfits). His braids are on the left side and tied with a simple bead (given by Al).
Kao is a tall wyord who was hired by Al after the former broke mercenary saved him. As of present, Kao has remained by Al's side for two decades. A subdued tsundere who has a grumpy face and claimed that he's only staying around because of his contract with the human and totally not because he's so emotionally attached to Al or that he really cared about the stupid human 😂
Gonna add more details once I finished revamping his outfits and references 👀💦
Lastly, Etherite Kemiri! She's Alfawl's niece and an A-rank postknight after completing her deliveries for two years before the start of PK2 timeline. She has two pets, Dango (Pippops) and Mr. Mochi (Sabremew) and mainly stayed in Maille Town (Etherdawn Dorm).
There's another OC, a Lumero Merchant plus Wind Mage carrying the Zephrite Pendant called Caraway.
They're... a two-faced menace. Don't be fooled by Cara's sweet surface appearance, Cara is the type to befriend others only for their own benefits. A youthful, baby-faced, 160 cm short 37 year old merchant with a churrel pet called Quinoa. They hate Alfawl. There's more details in Kurechii Discord, but Caraway (Cara) is basically a mild antagonist in Edelsteen story whose modus operandi operates on psychological attack.

Edelsteen Duo
The first time around I posted Al's PK2 reference, everyone immediately spotted his wyord bodyguard and chaos ensued 😂
I kid you not, my audience ship Al and Kao and got more invested in their relationship more than I expected. Love the community, everyone such a funny riot 🤣
ngl, preferred the sketchy base then the finished version. But yeah, folks demanded Kao to carry Al bridal style, so~
Here's an old WIP comic based on Al and Kao traveling Kurestal together in the past (before Edelsteen Eatery is built). Young teenage Alfawl was a real handful and trouble magnet, an airhead chef who needs rescuing far too many times and would likely be majorly injured had Kao not kept a close eye on him. Kao complaints a lot and mocked Al for being an annoying pain, but nonetheless, the Wyord would rather Al remained the blissfully oblivious cheerful idiot and would continue protecting Al despite how stressful it gets sometimes.
This one was also a Discord request. Folks brought my attention to how similar Al is to a Sanguin (Helix penguin). Both are absolutely oblivious to dangers and has similar color theme... so yeah, Kao probably thought of Al as one. 😂
a short story I wrote for Al and Kao. Kao likes to run his hands on Al's hair cause it's so smooth and silky. This was originally written in a script format, then I tried a monologue style and uuuh... Well, I tried?
PS: When Kao's feeling embarrassed, his ears are the parts that immediately reddened ever so slightly (tho it's only noticable when you pay attention to it). But he does gets flustered when Al gives sincere compliments to him (immediately hides and looks away tho).
No, Al has no idea of how Kao truly felt for him and simply thought his friend is really shy (not wrong).
