Musical Sides, Prologue

Hello everyone! So, sometime last night I reblogged a list of headcanons ( https://could-always-be-gayer.tumblr.com/post/174956504667/high-school-musical-au ) for a Highschool Musical AU that @could-always-be-gayer came up with! They’ve given permission for me to write it, so, here we are! Highschool Musical was my childhood, so even though my insides are shaking as I’m about to upload this, I’m so excited to show you guys this! I hope you guys enjoy, and I definitely hope you enjoy it Bear! Thanks for making this possible!

The lights were beating down on Virgil. They seemed brighter than they ever had before. His heart pounded in his chest and his blood pumped quickly through his veins. The only thing that kept the audience from seeing his flushed face was the foundation that the makeup artists had practically painted over his face. He was a pale person, and it took almost a quarter of the bottle to keep him from looking washed out by the lights. But with how much he was sweating, he was certain that all of their hard work was going to be washed away.

But at this moment, he couldn’t care. Because his mouth was dry and he couldn’t breathe. His head was beginning to swim. He couldn’t remember his line. Logan’s monologue was coming to a close and he was doing so, so good, but then Virgil was going to ruin it all. He would open his eyes and then no sound would fall out of his mouth. He saw Patton glance at him and then turn his head slightly to look at him completely. His eyes widened slightly and Virgil was certain that his distress was plain on his face, or Patton was even better at reading people than he thought. Both were a possibility.

The floor was beginning to rock back and forth, just lightly. Was he swaying? He couldn’t tell. He tore his gaze from Patton and tried to bring himself back down to earth, but the cloak and the hood he was wearing made it hard to breathe. Had he fastened the cloak too tightly? Damn Roman! If he hadn’t tried to talk to him between acts, then he would’ve had time! Speaking of the drama queen, Virgil saw Patton just barely reach to the side. He was careful to make sure that the audience couldn’t see him poke his twin lightly in the side, not enough to jarr him but enough to catch his attention. His younger twin glanced at him in confusion and mouthed a quick, ‘What?!’ Patton pointed to Virgil, discreet as always, and that's when Virgil felt Roman’s eyes fall onto him. The worry he saw well in his eyes made Virgil want to vomit.

His head was pounding. The floor was swaying, even faster. He couldn’t breathe. He was sweating so much. He had to get this cloak off. He had to get off this stage. He had to stop this. How could he think that this was going to be okay? Why did he think for even a moment, that he could do this? Logan was saying his last few words, his powerful and booming. He was putting on such a good show and the audience was completely enthralled. His head felt like it was going to explode. His dad was in the audience. The floor was spinning. There wasn’t a gasp of air inside of his body. His dad was in the audience. Sweat was pouring down the sides of his face. His dad was in the audience and he was looking right at him.

Logan finished his monologue with a thunderous; “And what do you say, Lins?! Will you continue to put up this charade any longer?!” Then everyone’s eyes were on his. Everyone’s.

But all Virgil saw was the floor rushing up to meet him as he collapsed.

Four months earlier

But in all honesty it was a great video you keep surpassing my expectations and suceed to pleasantly surprise me everytime. Thank you and Joan and Talyn ofcourse for the wonderfull content you give us. 

I joked with @cherryleevee about Sander Sides in Osomatsu-San style. To both our surprise they actually look kinda good! (And then I went overboard and drew like 12 of them :”D )
