I've been in regular contact with Laila @lailashaqoura and she's asked me to help spread her family's fundraisers. The first belongs to her immediate family, the second to her extended family, who her cousins Tala @talanassar and Rahaf @rahaf3nassar0 have been helping to spread, and the third belongs to a relative of hers, represented on tumblr by @haifaaziz98. The situation in Gaza is incredibly dire, food and clean water are running out where they aren't already gone, and there is no medical care for Laila's pregnant mother or for Tala's mother, who has breast cancer. Today is supposed to be a holiday, but instead they suffer. We have already waited too long, we need to get this family every bit of help we can. If you have any money to spare at all, any extra purchases you can cut out (buying coffee drinks when you have food at home, video games you wanted to buy, etc.) please send that money instead to a family struggling to escape genocide, and do whatever you can to share these fundraisers as far as you can, either on tumblr or on other social media. I understand how your faith in mutual aid can be shaken after so long, but your participation in this, either financially or socially, does matter. Families have escaped genocide because of the spreading of fundraisers. As @stuckinapril put it, these fundraisers are not just window dressing, they are the window itself. These fundraisers are the lifelines of Palestinians attempting to flee death and begin their lives again. Anything you can do to help matters. The Story of Salahaldin Ahmad Khalil Hor and His Family: A Journey of Struggle and Hope
Hello everyone
I am Salahaldin Ahmad Khalil Hor, 38 years old, and a father of three daughters. My life and the lives of my family have changed drastically because of the war, and I am writing to you today hoping for your support and assistance during this difficult time.
My Family
My family consists of five members: my wife, Sundus (34 years old), and my daughters, Maria (10 years old), Farah (8 years old), and Maryam (3 years old). We used to live a simple life filled with hope and ambition.
The Beginning of the Crisis
When the war broke out, we had to leave our home in the north. The family was split, with half of us staying in the north, suffering from famine and displacement, while the other half moved to the south. But even in the south, we were not safe. The house we sought refuge in was bombed, and Maria and Maryam were injured by shrapnel.
Daily Challenges
I studied accounting and obtained a master's degree in accounting and finance, aiming to advance my career and achieve my personal aspirations. However, the war prevented me from completing my thesis and destroyed my dreams of development. Our home was completely destroyed due to this brutal war. I lived in Belgium for six months, but I chose to return voluntarily to be with my daughters and not leave them alone in this ordeal.
hope and Prayer
Now, I am searching for a shelter for my family and me. My greatest wish is to reunite with my daughters and wife and start a new life together. We seek your help to overcome this ordeal and return to our normal lives. We need your support to provide medical care for our family members, continue our education, and build a better future.

Plea for Safety: A Cry from the Heart of Gaza
In its eighth month, Gaza appears defeated, trapped between walls of destruction and the cries of children. It is enveloped in deep sorrow, gripped by constant fear, and its walls speak a language of muffled screams. War is harsh. 😢
How can I protect my mother and siblings from this hell? How can I get them out of the horrors of war and bring them back to safety? My heart bleeds with indescribable pain, and my eyes see the scenes of suffering my people endure in this shattered land. 💔
My mother is the light that guides me through the darkest nights. How can war extinguish this light? How can my heart be at peace when it fears for the safety of those I love? I want them to be well, I want them to be safe, but war takes without mercy and destroys without pity. 😔
