Okay ima address this… so while I was in the mental hospital I was doing a brain rot of headcannons(sorry if I spelled it wrong) for death x puss that everyone would like and probably use so here is a few I came up with :3
1.
When death is done with work and is having a bad day, he would teleport(look idk 🤷♀️) to puss and drag him to the house just too cuddle but hey I can’t blame him 💅
2.
So when puss is tired/cold or just wants to annoy death he climbs into deaths cloak and climb to his neck then hugs it which leaves death either flustered or confused/careful
3.
After death and puss has an argument, death gets close to puss and nibbles on his ear or kisses his cheek multiple times as apologizing
4.
Death gets jealous when a boy or girl is getting flirty with puss, then he probably lures them to die or just tries to scare them away
5.
Puss likes to borrow(ahem…steals..) his lovely partner’s sickles
6.
Puss like to wear death’s cloak when he has it off even though it’s wayyy to big for him but death like to see puss squirm to walk when he actually gets it on

Thoughts on Death reasons to beat up a cat
I too would be pretty upset if I saw a dumb cat cartwheeling in fights and doing all sort of idiotic shit. (Yes it's cool but it's also oh so dumb)
Puss got 9 lives and he uses them for stupid shit that the wolf, given his job, is required to see (just in case that dumbass dies). He just sees Puss die again and again (the third one is hilarious) without giving a flying fuck and while still trolling him.
The wolf is so done with his shit that he takes the matter in his hands. It's time to make that cat responsible and for him to pay his deeds.
Best wake up call from the wolf (and that's the plot of the movie : grow up, look at what you missed while fooling around and redeem yourself to be free. Also adopt a nice abandonned dog for therapy).
Loved the movie, it was impressive, amazing, relatable and with GOOD antagonists (for once in a long time).

5)(Again,funny coincidence with the number)IT FORESHADOWS SHREK FRICKING FIVE AT THE END,like,no joke,when I watched it and Puss said"We're going to meet old friends"I was like:"lol,Shrek" and like AFGDFHASDFH,they were referencing it throughout the movie
Puss in Boots 2 is a masterpiece and has changed me as a person
