Kunoichi of Norrisville
As the title says, I have had an idea for a female ninja, a Kunoichi! I told this idea to my good friend @ikari-shinsei and we have had so much talking about the relationships between the Ninjas and their respective Kunoichi!
I know this has been done before, not exactly full on original but I love how much we have developed the idea so far. So, like in most stories, the Kunoichi is the Ninja’s partner, the ying to his yang, the water to his fire, the moon to his sun, you get the idea. The Kunoichi did not originate from Norrisville nor was it involved with the Norisu clan since the beginning. In fact, before the Kunoichi came to be, they were a trio of sisters who happened to be witches, all specializing in different magical aspects: the eldest, spirits and souls; the middle, magical artifacts and weapons; and the youngest, potions and spells. The eldest and the youngest ended up passing away after an attack just after creating the Kunoichi mask. Its purpose was to let the sisters use the other sisters’ specialized magic since they had a hard time doing so on their own. Now, the middle one, the First Kunoichi, was out and about traveling, taking out any monster that came her way. Next thing she knows, she has her knife to the throat of a man in black and red ninja attire.
The Kunoichi has powers similar to the Ninja, although they are usually more spiritually connected. They have a book similar to the Ninja Nomicon called the Kunoichi Codex (I did not come up with this, it was a writer in Quotev who I shall name later!) The Codex is a bit more direct to whoever has it, considering its writer was not as cryptic as the writer of the Nomicon. The Kunoichi uses war hand fans as a primary weapon and uses a sickle as a secondary one. She has knives hidden in most of her persona and the shoes she got? They are made of metal that can cut through almost anything. (Yes, I was inspired by Carmilla Carmine from Hazbin Hotel, is it obvious-?)
This is the current Kunoichi, whose name is Gin Rose (my persona). She is in the 9th grade and while she is smart academically, she is very dumb when socializing. There is a Yokai in the stone with the Tengu called a Bakeneko, a type of cat demon. Once it was sealed away, she gained a new ability called ‘Neko Moon Strike’. Her type of fighting style is one that resembles dancing, specifically ballet, which is a thing that comes with every Kunoichi, they always incorporate dancing in their fighting. It makes them look graceful and can be extremely useful. Their legs are their most lethal weapon.
First Kuno was a stubborn, anger issues yet quite emotional woman. She was untrusting of people for a long while up until meeting First Ninja. She was… very hostile when they first met, they did not like each other at all. But as time went on, they found themselves getting closer. Eventually, they became friends and soon enough, lovers. They became engaged and cared for each other dearly, First Ninja being the one showing the most affectionate which was usually just headpats or hand holding when they were not in their suits. First Kuno would always blush! F!Kuno used to call F!Ninja a ‘fool’, and now she calls him ‘my fool’. F!Ninja calls her ‘Moonflower’ due to it being a flower she really likes and the symbol she uses in her person when she in Kunoichi form. Sadly, not long after the fight with the Sorcerer and sealing him away, she fell ill and passed away in her beloved’s arms. A tragic end to the original Duo. But death is not the end, no, it’s merely the door to a new life.

If anyone wishes to learn more about this AU or has any ideas or headcannons, I would love to hear them! Who knows, perhaps some of those ideas can help me develop the Kunoichi role even more!
Depends if you either mean their overall design or their personalities! If it's physical design, for Kuno it would be her war fan, for her I made it look more like an aurora borealis cause those are so damn pretty and I felt like it suit her while for Funo it would be the hair because while it may be simple, it suits her and it's easy to draw.
If it's about personalities, I would say I love how Kuno is dumb of ass, heart of gold while Funo is a full on tsundere, would blush at the smallest forms of affection and even try and hide it behind her tough persona.
God, I wanna talk about Kuno and her story so bad, even about First Kuno! But at the same time, I don't wanna write long ass paragraphs detailing their lives and shit, I just wanna answer questions, lol-
When it comes to Kuno and the Ninja's first team up, how did it go?
It goes... well, as well as you would expect from two overly excited teenagers that were given masks with powers and magical books.
They meet each other since day 1, Gin (aka Kunoichi) transforming after the first monster appears while Randy is already in Ninja mode. He gets his ass kicked pretty badly when he is saved by someone kicking the robot in the face, leaving a pretty bad dent on it as people hear metal footsteps being taken: those being Kuno's knife shoes!
Ninja and Kuno don't interact much at first but it made dealing with the robot easier even if Ninja still ends up locking it away instead of just fully destroying it like he should.

I decided to draw them together cause why the hell not! They both fun to draw and I like to imagine them having drinks and chatting (Joan is a lightweight lol-)

I have read @willowthearts’ Kunoichi fic and so far I LOVE it! It’s a bit more believable and not as OOC with the canon characters as other RC9GN I have seen. I especially love the flashbacks to First Ninja and the First Kuno cause, come on, they are awesome!
And so I thought ‘Man, it would be fun if Joan was in the story.’ although I was stumped considering there already be a Kunoichi, a very badass one at that! Then I thought ‘Why not play into more of the witch part? Joan was a witch after all before everything went to shit.
And so I have made…
The Häxa! A version of Joan who went with a more magical theme, one who is mostly the same as the Kunoichi version of herself but relying more on magic than her weapons, which she still uses. As you can see, the hat she wears has a veil that comes down and hides her face, making sure nobody is able to figure out who she is. She still has her knife shoes, war fan and her sickle with her. Her legacy is still the same as before, however, instead of a mask being passed down to different girls, it’s the hat that is passed down.
This is obviously not canon but I imagine the way Häxa would meet First Ninja and First Kuno (Miori) would be when they come across a non-Sorcerer monster who is a tad bit too strong for them to beat. Then, the silhouette of a tall, strong and rather intimidating woman would appear, striking down the beast with ease since that is her whole job. From then on, they would become allies, a bit of reluctance on Häxa’s part. Most of her interactions with the others would be strictly limited to missions until a while passes and she starts to open up. I tried to give her a '6'8 feet tall priestess with golden eye, don't touch it' kinda vibe if you know what I mean! (Basically, 'fuck around and find out!')
That’s all I have for now! I’ll come up with more stuff about Häxa soon!
Lil update! I have given Häxa a ✨companion✨
Meet Coal the Cauldron, Häxa’s sentient cauldron! It used to be a normal cauldron but a bit of magic happened and now it is alive! Häxa usually has it in a pocket in her belt due to its small size before given the necessary amount of water needed to make it grow and be able to use it for potions and such. Coal is… hyperactive, like, a lot. It likes to run around whenever Häxa puts it down and it’s hard to catch, especially when it gets its zoomies when tiny. To clarify, Coal will ONLY grow when given swamp water. It is a very picky cauldron!
You know those lil sponge pills thingy that grow and turn into dinosaurs when left in water for a bit? Technically this!

Gin Rose, current Häxa of Norrisville!
Gin is a semi popular girl at Norrisville High, is pretty well known and is friendly with most people but is not the most talkative unless one of her interests is mentioned or if she is with her friends. An ambivert is the right word. Once she is, she talks a lot and VERY loud! She has a few close friends, two being Randy and Howard, her being the brain cell although she can be a bit of a dummy at times.
She often stays quiet and her presence is sometimes never acknowledged so people don’t notice she hearing their conversations until one of them turns to where she is or she coughs and gets their attention.
Gin is the oldest between Randy and Howard, her birthday being January 10. She dyes her hair quite often because she likes how vibrant it makes her look. She has a bit of a sweet tooth, likes to write, draw, go skating, listening to music, singing when alone and walk around while listening and singing to said music. She is kind of picky, however, some days she cannot tolerate a lot of foods and gets sick if she tries to eat even a bite, dislikes how often she realizes she is actually real, is pretty lazy and just not very productive when necessary. Procrastinating, her mortal enemy!
As Häxa, she is hyper and enthusiastic, so excited to learn about magic considering she has loved learning about it in stories. She finds chasing Coal the Cauldron a bit of a pain in the ass though. She has taken a few dance classes and incorporates dance into her fighting.
Gin is Latina, so she often cussed in both Spanish and English, is bisexual and demisexual, often carries a purse that has very strange stuff sometimes (like BBQ sauce lol-), and whined often whenever she has to do a project but usually gets As because she cares about her grades even though she rather be chilling.
With Y/N (or Audra maybe-), she be very nice, if anything a tad bit eccentric but overall a very helpful person. She is not perfect but hey, who is? At least she is willing to help out!
Switcharoo!
So this a lil gift for @willowthearts! I am happy you answered my question about Audra with the Purple Kuno mask and so I made this:
As you can see, I changed things up a bit in her design! For starters, she is wearing the knife shoes both Kuno Gin and First Purple Kuno wear, since it’s an essential part of all Kunos weapons, each warrior has them no matter the type of dance they do, most of the times the legs are used and will be used for combat. And the most noticeable would be the hair, which I changed from brown to lavender. All Purple Kunos’ hair changes to lavender due to safety precautions, since their hair isn’t covered and it would be pretty easy to figure out the truth behind the Kunoichi and her legacy so the hair changes color as to not give anything away. And lastly, I changed the color of the bows on the fake headphones because I didn’t want them to clash with the hair lol
Next up is this:
My OC Gin as the Blue Kuno! While drawing Purple Kuno Audra, I decided to draw Gin as the Blue Kuno and she ended up looking adorable! Like the water, she can be calm but can become wild and disastrous at times!

Meet the Previous Ninja Duo! They came before Randy and Gin became the current duo.
Former Kuno was a very dramatic, flirty and charismatic woman, being very popular both in and out of mask. Her interactions with her Ninja were that similar to how Cat Noir and Ladybug’s relationship was like in the beginning, a few flirts and jokes being thrown here or there. This Kuno leaned the most into the dance side of the Kunoichi’s legacy, that dance being ballet.
The Former Ninja was one who took his role very seriously, often brushing off his Kuno’s flirts and jokes at first but eventually succumbing to her charms. He is skilled and collected, one of the most capable ninjas that there have been. He and his Kuno were quite a powerful duo together.
Unfortunately, they had to learn the Ultimate Lesson but that didn’t stop them from staying together after so. After graduating, they are still together as a rather lovely couple.
Have a non traumatized and semi chill Joan! This is her before the whole Bishops and her sisters being killed thing. She used to have shorter hair, she preferred it that way, but then just let it grow as to have more connection to her now deceased sisters because their hair was long. She was pretty chill for the most part too.

Meet War, the eldest and wisest of the five Bishops. They were a war lord that killed those in their past without hesitation, only having the most skillful of soldiers in their army. Their fangs carried venom that could either leave people in immense agony, making them wish for death or just full on kill them. They were killed by Alma, who died with them.
Meet Pestilence, the most vain and ‘beautiful’ of the five Bishops. She used to be an eccentric lord, one who pushed her followers to bring her the most beautiful of gems and ores, punishing those who brought scraps by making them ill. Her tentacles could squeeze someone so hard, their bones would break and their lungs would collapse. She was killed by Lily.
Meet Famine, the most aggressive and gluttonous of the five Bishops. A lord that loved to eat, she ordered to be brought only the best of foods to date her insatiable appetite. Often exploding at everyone, including her fellow Bishops, she had violent tendencies and brought much destruction. She was killed by Lily, barely.
Meet Chaos, the youngest and most cocky of the five Bishops. Loving the sight of chaos and destruction, she made sure to bring discord to many villages and pillaged anything that came across her path. She was the one to kill Lily and the one to leave that nasty scar on Joan’s face. She was killed by Joan afterwards.
Finally, meet Death, the most dangerous and sadistic of the five Bishops. Death appeared to be the one most connected to the mortal realm, to mortal feelings and morals, often manipulating others to get her way. Her sadistic ways brought pain and suffering to even her own followers and was the last of the Bishops standing. She was killed by Joan Häxa.

Sometimes I like to play around with my characters, making them the opposite genders, making them genderfluid, etc. SO I did this!
Meet Daisy Liu Pereira! It's pretty much just Daniel but as a girl and with the Kunoichi mask. I love how she turned out, she adorable!
