rant on moon varian

ok so i wrote this w no editing and i'm also very biased soo...

ok, so why did cassandra get a villain arc? like i get *why*, but it's messy. i get zhan tiri manipulating cass but...? she's supposed to be a strong person, and rapunzel's best friend. she betrayed R (i'm calling rapunzel that now) because her (cass') mom was mother gothel and she felt like gothel chose R over her. this all happened over 4 episodes. this seemed like a messy choice because it all happened so suddenly.

OK MY FIRST POINT-WHY WOULD VARIAN MAKE MORE SENSE? he actually has a reason. in season one, varian's whole villain arc was never really resolved, he was just thrown in prison. the mistreatment over the whole season one is insane. in queen for a day, there's a big snow storm (formed by zhan tiri). when his father gets encased in amber, he goes to go ask for help from R (which she promised to help). he asks R for help, but then gets thrown out INTO THE BLIZZARD by R's guards for 'hurting the princess' (that never happened). then he got put into prison but cassandra (who destroyed the castle) got off with a slap on the wrist.

2. his dad is literally a member of the brotherhood, and what does the brotherhood want? to hide the moonstone. 

3. what does varian want? for everything to go back to normal. i kinda feel like that would make him more susceptible to zhan tiri's manipulation. also like i mentioned earlier he already has a grudge against R

4. what the freak is going on with his hair. there's a teal streak in his hair, WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE, but it's never been explained. what's my theory? MOON STONE!!! it's teal, but it's on the bluer side. what color is the moonstone associated with? blue. what color does cass' hair turn? that same shade of varian's hairstripe but glowing.
