he could feel his phone vibrate under his pillow. every pulse shook his cheek just a little, yet he didn't budge. if anything, blue was trying to put off moving any inch of his body as much as he possibly could, but after realizing that the buzz wouldn't stop anytime soon, he groaned and shifted himself. hands sliding under his head, he felt around for that little device and brought it up to his face, partially blinding himself in the process. he was still able to catch the name despite his vision being blurred, and a crease was visible between his eyebrows. his eyes darted towards the clock beside him.

12:05 am

the crease only deepened. blue was used to his friend calling him at the late hours of the night, usually to go out for dinner, or to just talk. but never has she called him past this hour. this had to be urgent. his stomach churned, but he pressed the green button on his screen.

“hey, i need your help… and maybe your healing powers could come in handy.”

the fairy could hear the pain in her voice, though she tried to mask it with a nonchalant tone. it was just a hint, but it was evident to him. blue inhaled and paused, before letting out a soft huff. 

“... im on my way”

he didn’t have to think twice.

how she got herself into these situations, she had no clue. when she saw somebody about to get hurt, she was very quick to step in ———– that often meant, she herself was injured but if she could diffuse the situation, then that was all that mattered to her. at the end of the day, her job as a soldier depended on it. she wanted to make sure that she could protect her people in more ways than one but as she ended up in the middle of a scrap and being pushed harshly onto the floor, she wondered how much damage it had actually cost her. while the situation had been sorted, she was now hobbling over to the park bench with a bloodied leg and what she felt was a twisted ankle. 

gritting her teeth together, she tried her hardest to focus on anything but the pain but she knew she wasn’t going to make it back home walking. grabbing her phone, she called her best friend hoping he would pick up. ‘ hey, i need your help… and maybe your healing powers could come in handy. ’ there was slight amusement in her tone even though the pain was pulsating through her.
