Not only is he traumatized from his birth parents being slaughtered but HE was the one that got covered in blood when the cop killed the wrong Santa!
Then he finally gets a family and he's still traumatized by Christmas in general but he's also carrying the trauma from the nuns abusing him. Then his adopted dad dies only a few years later.
Jesus fuck just let the poor kid be!
The fact that Ricky didn't know people made a whole fucking movie, and banking, on his and Billy's trauma is mind blowing to me. And it's the whole first movie in the second one so you know it'll be played out the same way. His parents dying, Mother Superior's abuse, Billy snapping and killing people, the two shootings, and then Billy dying infront of him. Like imagine you're on a date with someone at the movie theater and you just find out the movie you're watching is about your messed up life 3 minutes in. It's fucked up

He's always been overshadowed and overlooked. So when he met you, and you were so nice to him, he nearly melted. You treated him like a person.
Hates x-mas. And s*nta. Just avoid it completely.
he’s very romantic. He’ll take you on dates, on car rides, and likes to cook for you.
He isnt cuddly, like at all. At least, not for the start of the relationship. He just…. Doesn’t see the point in it? Though he is more than happy to go on a walk or car ride with you and talk and listen to music.
Later, though, he does start getting more affectionate. And he starts to realise just how amazing something as simple as holding hands can be.
After a few months, he’s all over you, snuggling into you, being the big spoon, holding hands with you, and resting his head in your lap.
Though, if you’re not in the right headspace to be all cuddly, he’ll stop immediately. He understands.
He really enjoys your company. He’s not the best at talking, so being in each other’s presence is enough for him. He loves how calm you make him feel, just by existing. He feels like he can be himself.
He really just adores you and cherishes you with his whole heart. You are a blessing to him, please treat him kindly.
