Riddle's mom is his abuser. She prevents him from having a proper social life, tells him lies about food consumption, and forces an extremely schooling curriculum on him. This is very clear, but I was thinking about what kind of abuser she is.

There a probably some people who headcanon her to think she is doing the best for him, but I don't quite think that is right. You could think that her strict rules on food for him could be her trying to keep him healthy UNTIL you remember she is a doctor. She is a doctor, so she has to know all the food rules she is giving him, for example Riddle not being able to have any sweets, is BS. She literally just wants control of him. She is an abusive control freak. But the interesting thing is that she could still think she is loving him. A lot of abuser report that they thought their want for control of a person was love for said person.
