EchoClan Year 0, Moons 7-12
Moon Seven Nothing of note happens.
Moon Eight Chaos breaks loose! It all started with Fawnleaf's muttering in the medicine cat den, foul tempered and angry. He's convinced that the badger attack two moons ago has something to do with the non-clan cat that Hushstar was seen talking to. And then the blight in the medicine cat den is discovered, claiming the majority of the carefully stocked herbs. Before anyone can start figuring out what happened, Downyburn groans from in the nursery, and Cobaltslip rushes to her side. Taking sight of the two newborn kittens, she purrs so hard she thinks she might vibrate into nonexistence. And that's the opening Fawnleaf needs to lurch out of the medicine cat den and challenge Hushstar for leadership! Hushstar, appaled and angered, accuses Fawnleaf of ruining the medicine cat stores - and it's a fight! A remarkably one sided fight. Hushstar comes out of it with a shallow claw-wound, while Fawnleaf finds himself with a brand new bite scar perilously close to his throat. Plus a torn ear, when Hushstar asks Shadowsplash to deal with the situation while he goes to check in on Downyburn. Shadowsplash drags a stubborn Fawnleaf back to the medicine den by his ear, leaving it ragged and torn by the time they get there. In doing so, Shadowsplash sustains a bite and a claw wound, as well as a nicked ear. After all the commotion outside, Downyburn nudges her dear kits under her belly to safety. Riftkit and Streakkit can meet the rest of the world... next moon.
Moon Nine Fawnleaf's badger wound heals remarkably well, it doesn't even seem like it's going to scar! Likewise, his torn ear from Shadowsplash seems to be healing well. Unfortunately, though, it looks like the bitewound dealt to him by Hushstar is infected...
This only serves to worsen Fawnleaf's mood, and when Gullpaw pulls a harmless prank, Fawnleaf snaps at her.
Downyburn finally feels ready to introduce her kits to the rest of the clan, heartened by the way Hushstar has been bringing Fawnleaf food.
Introducing - Riftkit and Streakkit!
Children of Downyburn and Cobaltslip, these two kittens are the first kittens born to EchoClan. Riftkit seems to be a shy little one with water powers, who quickly takes to hiding. Streakkit has a power none of the others have seen before. Is that.... blood...?
Moon Ten Cobaltslip informs Shadowsplash that unfortunately, they'll be scarred permanently by the bite that Fawnleaf dealt them. On top of that, they're half deaf now, on the side they were bitten.
Shadowsplash takes the time to ask Cobaltslip to pass around the clan that they'd like to switch to using they pronouns, since while they've been injured they've had the time to muse on how she no longer feels right.
Fawnleaf daydreams about one day being deputy.
Streakkit's request to stop being babied just gets her ccooed at. She's only two moons old after all!
Moon Eleven Shadowsplash's infection gets worse.
Fawnleaf recovers from his infection, and promises to do better for the sake of the clan. A few cats notice his quiet glance at Hushstar as he says it.
Moon Twelve Shadowsplash's infection has cleared.
Hushstar has healed from the claw-wound dealt by Fawnleaf, though it has left a scar.
Gullpaw graduates to Gullsnap at 13 moons old, given a name meant to honor her tranquil spirit!

And with that, EchoClan's first year has completed! No deaths, surprisingly enough, but my oh my is the drama hot
A Queens Worst Pain
Marigoldmask understands all to well the loss of a kit. Riftkit is greeted into StarClan by his half-siblings happily meeting the older Bloomkit as he races ahead of his sister.
