RMS Lusitania departed New York for the very last time. 6 days later she was gone.

RMS Lusitania is torpedoed by U-20 and sinks in 18 minutes
1199 are killed, including 123 Americans.
The disaster among other things indirectly results in the US joining the war.
May they never be forgotten.
