Roronoa Zoro Fic Rec - Tumblr Posts
This was such a cute request! So sweet I loved it 🫶🫶

* i just can't get you out of my head (zoro x sanji's sister!reader).
♫ “CAN'T GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD” SOFIA KARLBERG. ☼ Fic Request: sanji’s sister [the reader] develops a crush on our favorite swordsman Zoro. she gets nervous around him and starts stammering whenever he talks to her or asks her a question.
since she’s shy and is too nervous to talk to Zoro herself. she makes him onigiri but ends up getting nervous when trying to deliver it to him. each time it fails in her either bumping into him and the food falling to the ground or her getting too nervous.
maybe sanji gives her a little pep talk, and it ends with her giving zoro some onigiri finally. nothing happens but it’s just the start of something new
“moss-head if you break her heart I’ll kill you!” sanji shouts from the background at the end lol - @writing-fanics
A/N: Roronoa Zoro imagine. I want to say I did google how to make onigiri. I wanted to get it right! lol! This was all fluff and cute to write. I kept it light, love! It was a lot of fun. I hope I got your request! Thank you!! Feedback and comments are appreciated! Thank you so much for all the reads. It really means a lot and helps me. Thank you!! ♥ [Warnings: none, fluffy]

Your knuckles were tucked under your chin while your elbows rested on the edging of the top deck on the ship. Your eyes watched below at the swordsman as he was trying to teach Luffy how to hold a sword to defend himself in the unlikely event he would need to.
You pressed your lips together and tilted your head at the sight. “What’s on your mind, sister?” You widened your eyes as if you were caught doing something scandalous, and then turned your head to look at your brother, Sanji.
“Nothing! Just - here.” You dropped your hands so you were now gripping the edge instead of having the face of someone who was admiring their crush. “I was looking out at the sea, and it’s beautiful. Inspirational.” You stammered through your words as you tried to form a complete sentence.
Your brother only laughed at your reaction and nodded acting as if he understood. He glanced down at the lower deck to find Luffy and Zoro. “So, is it both? One? Or is it really the captivating image of the water?”
You rolled your eyes before moving backward, and crossing your arms. “Why are you so annoying?” You shook your head and headed down to the main deck, not paying attention to where you were going, and collided with Zoro. “Oof!”
Zoro turned to face you, glancing you over to make sure he didn’t hurt you. “Are you okay?” He asked flatly.
“Mhm! Mhm. Yup!” You smiled nervously and gave him a salute. “I’m great.” You patted his chest then yanked your hand away before rushing off toward the kitchen. “A salute? Really?” You muttered to yourself once you were in the kitchen, you groaned while you rubbed your face as if that was going to erase the awkward moment.
“Well, that was tragic,” Sanji said as he entered the kitchen. He wore his snarky smirk and started getting things together to start planning the dinner. You narrowed your eyes at him. Your brother had no issues talking to anyone, it came naturally for him, and he was very much an extrovert. “Why don’t you tell him? Talk to him? Get to know him?”
“Are you kidding me! He’s like this -” You gestured your hands mid-air not able to find the right words to describe Zoro. You admired from afar, you only tried talking to him once or twice but it was usually simple questions, like where you all were headed. You glanced down at the food he was setting out. “I want to make him something. Help, please?” You pressed your hands together as you looked at him, frowning a little.
“But you’re doing so well on your own,” he teased and gave you a half-smile. You playfully punched his shoulder and raised your eyebrows at him. “Alright! Alright. I’ll help. What would you like to make?”
“Onigiri.”

The First Attempt. Cooking the rice was the first step in the recipe. You had already washed the rice and let it soak in the water. Once it was all set, you started to cook it checking the recipe over and over that your brother had given you. You clasped your hands together as you stood in front of the pot as if it was going to help the cooking faster.
You watched Sanji create the onigiri several times, each time he made it flawlessly and told you it was easy. You scribbled down the notes, sometimes they were just drawn as a ‘RZ.’ Then, Sanji snapped you back to the present and repeated himself annoyed. You nodded studiously as you went back to taking real notes.
Once the rice was cooked, you had to make the rice balls. You started to form them, but the design you were attempting didn’t look correct. The triangular shape wasn’t very lopsided. So, you tried again. It wasn’t until the fifth rice ball you created was the perfect one. It semi-resembled the one Sanji created.
You put in the filling, wrapped it in seaweed, and carefully plated it. Once you created several, you patted yourself on the back and took a deep breath. You were going to share them with Zoro. In your mind, you played it as a casual brunch snack. You had a story you played out in your head about how you were helping Sanji and needed a taste tester.
“Okay. Go.” You took a deep breath and carried the plate out of the kitchen and to the crew. You saw Zoro leaning against the side of the ship, not really engaging in the conversation between Usopp and Nami. You only nodded once in a while. “You got this, you got this.” You whispered to yourself and held the plate tightly as you tried your best to walk casually over to him.
Before you could get close enough to share your creation, you stepped on your boot and lost your balance sending the plate of onigiri up mid-air. You fell back on your ass and watched as your food plopped down on the deck.
Nami, Zoro, and Usopp turned their attention to you. “Are you okay?” Usopp asked as he walked over to you to help you to your feet. You stood up and made brief eye contact with Zoro then laughed it off.
“Yup! I’m good.” You laughed awkwardly as you picked up the now-empty plate. “Was going to just - “ You picked up the food and tossed it overboard. “Feed the birds and sharks.” You turned around and retreated.
Zoro glanced down at the scraps left behind.

The Second Attempt. You took a pen to your notebook and rewrote the notes, crossing out things that didn’t make sense. You were determined to try again. You already had the rice cooking, you were working on the filling. You chewed on the top of your pencil and then wrote some more notes.
You turned to a clean page and started to sketch. You weren’t sure if it was going to be anything but you started to sketch out a sword, carefully drawing out the hilt. You glanced over at the stove and then back at the sketch. You turned to the recipe and checked it on it quickly. You went to work on trying to create Onigiri again. This time, it was the third attempt of creating the food that was made to your liking. You smiled proudly. It was going to go well.
“Don’t stumble,” you started to tell yourself as you plated the food. “He’s going to like it. He’s going to be impressed. I mean this looks delicious.” You carefully walked out of the kitchen. “Wow, you did this? Why yes! I did. It’s delicious.,” you mumbled to yourself as you played out the fake scenario in your head.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t notice the swordsman coming down the same path in front of you. You two collided with one another, the plate tilted in his direction and the rice balls smeared against his chest. You widened your eyes as the food started to drop down to the floor. “Uhh….” you dropped your mouth open seeing the scene unravel in front of you.
Zoro picked up some of the scraps from his shirt and took a bite. You wiped the rest off his chest and then realized the closeness. He opened his mouth to try to say something, but you wiped the rice on yourself. “Sorry...I’m sorry.” You hugged the plate and hurried off without finishing your sentence.
Sanji walked up to Zoro and laughed a little at the aftermath. “Well, did she at least add salt?” He joked.
Zoro exchanged a quick glance with the cook and started to clean up the mess that was left behind. Sanji helped.
“Oh. I believe this is for you.” Sanji handed Zoro a folded-up paper.
“Just handing out love letters?” Zoro joked as he unfolded the paper looking over your sketch of the sword - his sword.

The Third Attempt. You didn’t know why you were trying again to make onigiri. But you found yourself in the kitchen trying to cook again. You had the plate out, and you stared at the notebook but nothing was making sense to you. You already failed - twice. Was it really worth giving it another shot? You wanted to impress Zoro. How else to impress a swordsman?
You already pictured yourself with a sword and there would be a lot of cuts and bruises involved - and it probably wouldn’t be on your body. You believed cooking would be easy - making something you knew he liked. You were ready to throw in the towel and go back to something else.
“How’s it going, sister?” Sanji strolled over to the stove. He took a peek at what you were making. Then glanced over at you.
“Going great.” You replied flatly and gave him a fake thumbs-up.
“I have seen how great it went.” He let out a small laugh and started working on some of the rice balls.
“He probably thinks I’m a joke. I wanted to impress him. And just -“You widened your eyes and dropped your shoulders defeated. “Nope.”
“Here is an idea. How about you don’t get inside your head so much about it?” He raised his eyebrows and tapped your temple. He gave you a small grin. “Sister. You’re a good cook, what you’re doing is very impressive. I think you already got his attention.” He held up the rice ball.
You pursed your lips, and glanced down at the plate. “I am - I feel like I can’t do this.” You pushed the plate away from you.
“Hey, hey.” Sanji scrunched his face and quickly shook his head. “You’re not one to give up. At all. I know you and quitting something isn’t in you, sister. All you gotta do is keep trying, you’ll get it.” He held up the plate to you and gave you an encouraging grin.
You wrinkled your nose, knowing your brother was right. You weren’t a quitter, even when you failed before, you would get back up. It wasn’t in you. You went to work creating the onigiri, plating them, and allowed your brother to help you.
Once you finished, you held up your plate to let Sanji inspect them. “They look good.” He gave you a quick peck on top of your head.
“Thanks,” you turned around and were about to exit the kitchen when Zoro walked in. You took a deep breath, counting silently to yourself as you walked over to him. “Onigiri?” You smiled nervously up at him.
“Thanks.” He smiled softly at you before he picked one up, and took a bite. “These are very good. Join me?” He took the plate to set it down on the table. You followed him and nodded casually, picking up one of them to take a bite. You two exchanged glances, your stomach did a little flip.
“Mosshead, if you break her heart I’ll kill you!” Sanji called out before he exited the kitchen. You wrinkled your nose at your brother’s reaction and shook your head while looking at Zoro. He only let out a weak laugh, before digging into his pocket to take out the folded paper.
“I believe this is yours.” You took it from him to see your sword drawing and pressed your lips together. “But do you mind if I keep it?”
“Oh, no. You can have it.” You smiled at him as you folded it back up and held it out to him.
His fingers gently touched yours as he took the drawing back.

"ANOTHER VICTORY FOR STRAW HATS!!!CHEERS!!!"
Luffy's excited shout echoes through the night,as everyone cheer and down their drinks. All around you, people were celebrating, and happily serving you and your crewmates drinks after drinks.
You and your crewmates had managed to save yet another village from pirates, and it was time to celebrate.
Everything about this village was absolutely beautiful;from the cherry trees that had blossomed just recently, making the scenery breathtaking,to its kind and warm-hearted people who knew nothing but how to love and be happy.
They apparently,also loved to dance.
When the song changes to something soft and more melodic, you watch from your place across the bonfire how couples start to gather around;hands being placed on shoulders and arms around waists. You watch and sip your suddenly too bitter drink as they dance, and the sound of their laughter fills the air.
Your eyes wander to the green haired man sitting next to the open bar across you,and your lips pull down to a frown;Zoro didnt like to dance.
You loved Zoro,of course you did,but ever since you two became a couple...things didnt get too different between the two of you.
Obviously there were small kisses here and there, and Zoro became even more protective of you if that was even possible, but you craved real romance. Like the ones you would see young couples do,or read in the books; running under the rain while laughing, going shopping or matching clothes, and of course, dancing .
You could've made a list of the dances you wished to have with Zoro on so many occasions, but you never asked. You knew Zoro;he wasnt a big fan of showing his affection openly, always choosing to show his love to you through his actions. So it didnt take a genius to guess he would absolutely rather die than to dance.
You swallow the lump in your throat and stare down to your drink. You weren't even sure what it was; probably something light since you weren't feeling even slightly drunk. Something sweet. Maybe cherry? It sure had a good smell to it. As you swing the last of your drink around the glass, you make a mental reminder to tell Sanji to get some with you back to the ship. A small smile graces your lips as you think about sailing tomorrow morning once again with your new family, but the happiness is short lived as a bitter feeling fills your chest and you find yourself blinking rapidly in hopes of not bursting in tear right there.
Was it too much to ask to have a romantic love life?
As you start to wonder whether to return to the Going Merry or ask the musicians to play some other song,a small tap on your shoulder makes you jump in your sit slightly. You turn your head, and find yourself face to face with your boyfriend.
At first, Zoro's eyes search yours for a second, before jerking his head toward the back, where the road leads to the cherry garden.
"come with me for a second."
you silently nod,and accepting his offer to help you stand, you take his much larger hand in yours and make your way toward the garden. And when you finally step inside, you let out a loud gasp.
You dont think you've ever seen anything more beautiful in your life;the way the petals of the cherry blossoms dance in the air and settle on your hair, the air having the sweet smell of the drink that you had earlier, and the moon shining the brightest you've ever seen-
And none of them could compare to the picture Zoro was making.
You've always loved Zoro;ever since the very first moment you saw him,the first time he smiled at you,and the first time he held your hand. You loved Zoro, and you believed with your soul that there was no one prettier than him.
But now,as you watch the flower petals dancing around him,and the moonlight shining on his green air as he stares at you with the softest look on his face, you cant help your heart from beating awfully faster.
You loved Zoro. And gods above,he was the most beautiful being in the whole universe.
You're so busy admiring his features that when his fingers brush against your cheek, you jump slightly. Zoro raises his fingers up to you hair, and you feel him pluck something out.
When he lowers his hand,he shows you a small cherry blossom that was trapped in your hair. And in that moment, when he raises it up to his lips, you swear the time stops all together.
Zoro closes his eyes as his lips make contact with the flower, and he slowly opens his eyes to meet yours.
"y/n," he puts the flower in the pocket right over his heart and as he takes hold of your hand, with the sound of his three swords clanking together,he kneels right in front of you. Your gap at him,and you're torn between laughing and kneeling as well.
"Zoro,whats going on?"
Zoro scowls at you.
"what does it look like I'm doing?"
"proposing?!"
"no," Zoro deadpans, and your face visibly falls, "that has to be special. Not out of blue."
Your face brightens and small laugh escapes from your lips
"then,whats going on?"
And for the very first time since meeting him,he actually looks embarrassed.
You didn't know he could feel that kind of emotion
"I'm planning to ask you for a dance,if you let me finish."
When your mouth slams shut,he sighs and unconsciously rubs his thumb against the back of your hand.
Your heart flutter at how comforting he can be even when he's not realizing it.
"Babe,i know I'm not the most romantic person in the whole world," when you let out a snort,he scowls again, "but i promise, its not because i dont love you."
He slowly raises to his feet once again, and gently leans his forehead against yours.
"i know i dont say it enough, but i love you." His hand find your waist,as your arms wrap his neck;your eyes shining with unshed tears, "and i will continue loving you until my last breath."
You let out a small sniffle when he kisses your wet eyelashes.
"sounds pretty much like a proposal to me."
"oh,babe,i promise you that after my proposal, you'll cry your eyes out."
You tug at his short hair and give him an unimpressed look.
"you're making my heart beat with your smooth talk,Zoro. Keep it up and you'll no longer have a lover to propose to."
And when he laughs quietly, you cant help but to pull him down for a kiss.
The sound of the music in the background, makes everything feel surreal. The way Zoro holds you so gently, and his lips moving against yours with urgency, reminds you how passionate he can be. And its right there, that Zoro reminds your how much he actually loves you.
The sound of the music is still audible in the background,so when he starts swinging you side by side, you cant help the giddy laugh that escapes you. Zoro gives you a gentle smile, and kisses your forehead.
"from now on,tell me what you desire. I'll make all your dreams come true."
And when you raise your head to lock your lips with his once again,a small whisper leaves your lips.
"dont worry. All my dreams had already came true the moment i laid my eyes one you."
