Some second hand loot that came today! The two DVDs on top are still sealed! I think I will start with the Star Wars book, never read one before. But first I have to finish the third Fear Street book that was re-released because of the Netflix films. So much good stuff.

I have recently started to become more ecologically conscious in my everyday life - eating out less, buying less, using more of the possessions I already own, etc... - and that includes shopping for clothes in second hand shops. And I am ASTONISHED at how many well kept, good quality pieces are simply lying around at some dim lit room downtown. Honestly, I urge everyone reading this to go to the worst rated second hand shop in their area. Avoid the trendy ones, go for the ones with 70 year old witches who'll smoke a whole pack inside the store in the hour you'll spend there. The true gems lie there.

UPDATE!

Recently visited a nearby town with a friend and we came into a second hand shop, and as I was looking around, lo and behold a typewriter in English!! I don't live in an English speaking country so this is rare. It's not expensive at all, a bit broken but with a few tweeks it is a steal.

My birthday is in January so I might treat myself to it.

I bought my dream Doc. Martines as an early birthday gift secondhand. its wild I found them because they're a really specific model and my size is woman's 41, so I'm delighted. Keep buying second hand, kids, ESPECIALLY if you buy leather - we do not support the production of leather products in this household.
