Collecting stones is one of the most beautiful ways to pass the time, in the here and now. Only those who know that they cannot ultimately own things learn to appreciate life. Even life is only a temporary loan.

All the stones I have ever collected accompany me until they are stones again without me, without ever having known that they were part of my life. Only the gravestone knows your name.
