sometimes i just see people say things and i want to full force slap them in the face (this would not hurt much at all as i am very waifish) and then when they're reeling from the surprise of this i will take advantage of that moment of stillness in their brains and gently rest my hands on their shoulders and say, not without kindness: you have to understand that not everything you think is bad is bad in the same way or the same amount, there are degrees of bad that stuff can be. and of course this will make no impact because we're on the website that cut its teeth on moral debates by putting kin drama back-to-back with sexually predatory behavior on callout posts. but maybe just maybe. a kernel of it will sink in and we can live in a world where nothing where the worst consequences are someone getting their feelings hurt online is made out to be life and death. i have to believe in that shining future.

"acab includes fandom police" "acab includes bossy people" "acab includes-" no it doesnt. no it fucking doesnt. there is a way for you to express your disapproval of a group without equating it to the government sponsored institution that loves to torture and kill black people

post: the way you write certain characters can reveal certain things about yourself and the way you view the world. for example, the way you treat your characters of color can correlate to how you view Black and brown people in real life.

addition: nope! stop fandom police! kill the cop inside your head! stop demonizing dark fiction! acab includes fandom police!

ACAB includes fandom police has got to be the funniest terminally online sentence ever because you clearly don't know the basics of a cop's job if you say that

You know, all of this hate or condensing attitude disguised over how people 'see abuse in media' over ascendant astarion is actually boiled down to "I don't like him and I don't want to see his content, so no one should have fun or do anything with him."

"I don't like this thing, so I don't want it to exist, regardless of other people decision and feeling about it." Which is the core of shipping discourse as well. People just adding fluff/moral discussion to the discussion because without moral soapbox no one will care

It's okay to enjoy different ending including ascension for Astarion and god gale

I have been seeing comments about how people are afraid of choosing and enjoying ascended Astarion or God gale ending because they are scared of ridicule, scared of being 'wrong' and afraid of offending abuse victim because they have seen so many negative discourse against those endings for Astarion and Gale.

Let me tell you, YOU ARE NOT an abuse enabler or offending abuse victim just because you like those endings, the people who accused you directly or indirectly of being wrong, evil or "too dumb to understand the narrative" or "delusional" are nothing but fandom police who try to manipulate and bend people to do what they wanted with fear using pseudo progressive language. They don't like content for ascendant Astarion and god gale so they wanted it gone

They do it like cult leader trying to control the population. And this is not a problem that is exclusive to bg3 only. It happening in many fandom. "I don't like this so I have to control people to not like this as well." This is the real abuse, this is the real manipulation tactic

What's matter in fandom is you having fun, not bending over to what the majority or some people wanted. Your moral and self worth shouldn't be tied to fandom and fandom discourse . You are fine, don't be scared of choosing different ending for these DnD blorbos

All the speech about concerning over moral or abuse is not real, it's just people on the internet doesn't like something and try to influence other to not like it as well. This also extended to ship

I'm a ship and let ship person. Just FYI I don't care what you ship and I want to enjoy what I like. Especially for ascendant Astarion fans do not harass other people over ship whatever they are fluffy cute sfw or 'problematic' we are harassed by antis and puritans over a vampire from DnD we should know better than act like them when it comes to other media or ship

Do not harass people over fandom

Hello Ladies and gentlemen it has come to my attention that people are pushing others in my source fandom to suicide over who ships what! How crazy is that?! I have news for you all. Real human LIVING people should matter more than your silly little shipcourse!!!

Who cares who is shipped with who? Honestly if you can't let others be over a ship may I suggest something for you!? Therapy perhaps?!!!

As an Alastor fictive who is dating both a Husk and an Angeldust fictive I am disgustingly appalled at you people. You lot that support this make typical sinners in hell look like cherubs!! Get over yourselves! Pushing people to suicide over a damn ship is shameful and disgusting. Anyone who partook in that harassment I hope you get what is due to you... You are the worse kind of scum on this godforsaken world.

Clean up your damn act and just use that lovely little BLOCK button as it is intended if you don't like something or someone. It is infact that fucking simple.

I try my damn near hardest to avoid shipcourse on this blog. However, I have so many qualms with the anti side of things that I need to say something.

If your first inclination after seeing someone explore fiction is to call them a pedophile (as an insult, no less!), abuse enabler, and/or urge your followers to mass report them, you are a problem. Maybe it's because I grew up during the golden days of fandoms, where ship and let ship was the norm and not whatever this shit is, but it's bizarre to see people get cancelled for being a proshipper. I just don't have it in me to care about what people do to that fictional child. It's none of my business.

I've noticed a trend from antis of anything: anti radqueers, antishippers, anti hazbin/helluva etc, and it is that their arguments are extremely self centered. 'It's romanticizing MY abuse/trauma/condition!' as if that stranger on the other side of the screen couldn't possibly have similar trauma etc and copes with it differently. "It triggers ME!" then don't actively seek out that material and get mad at the creator. It's a 'me! me! me!' mindset.

See, me personally? I don't care if someone makes and romanticizes a fic that capitalizes on my trauma. I don't care what reason they have, either; whether it's to cope with their own trauma or to simply have fun, I do not care. No amount of harassment from a bunch of teenagers can change the fact that I don't care, and the fact that there are others OLDER THAN ME, someone who will be 19 in July, who condone and enforce anti views is terrible.

Creative freedom shouldn't even be a debate or discourse situation. People need to grow the hell up and get over themselves.
