Welcome to the main stage of MaPoppycock’s Sketchy Inktober 2020! That month, and several more months later, I challenged myself to draw 31 different scenarios.
Why yes I am gonna post art from last year for this month.
Since I really like Drag Race and I themed this after the show, I obviously had to host it all dressed up. So here's me in a Cinderella ball gown and wig with some very glittery sneakers, which are all based on real things I have in my closet.

First up,
Sketchy Inktober 2020 #1) Tight clothes with Kanji Tatsumi from Persona 4
The real reason he doesn’t wear his jacket is because the seams rip every time he tries.
My initial plan was to have these be simple sketches. That plan didn’t really last to the end but I loved how they all came out anyway!
Kanji got to be first as he’s one of my favorite characters of all time and this is my reasoning as to why his jacket was always on his shoulders. He is the powerhouse of the investigation team!
Sketchy Inktober 2020 #2) Growth spurt with Pit from Kid Icarus: Uprising
It’s wishful thinking to assume he’s going to stop growing before breaking the ceiling.
This was based on the episode of Captain N “Wishful Thinking” where Kid Icarus makes a wish on the Game Genie to be much bigger.
Definitely kept that background to the bare bones simplest.

Knock outs just keep getting easier when he’s on a winning streak.
Making the little guy not so little anymore hehe. Yeah that’s basically it. But it did bother to make King Hippo and draw the ringside so this is a step up in backgrounds.
Sketchy Inktober 2020 #4) Size comparison with Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Things look a lot smaller in your hometown when you’re older after time traveling.
Link has always been on the short side of characters in Hyrule so why not make him a lot bigger after traveling into the future? His pose was inspired by a sketch that Jockman87 did back when they were still on Tumblr but sadly it seems to be lost in time and the censored purge. But hey. I love how his house came out! It’s my favorite detail I ever added
Sketchy Inktober 2020 #8) Outfit Swap with Apollo Justice from Ace Attorney
I’m sure dressing up as Yukimura Sanada is a great idea to get more publicity for the Wright Anything Agency.
Remember how Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice had DLC costumes based on Sengoku Basara? Because I sure do. I’m sure his new steely muscles are nothing compared to his chords of steel. While Apollo might not be totally into it, Phoenix sure seems to be enjoying it, or at least trying to keep his laughter on the inside.

We love and appreciate Ken Carson in this dollhouse. He is the kind of boyfriend we should all strive to be! They are also top tier among the different versions of Barbie and Ken. Would definitely recommend watching this series. Also their poses are based on the cover to a coloring book of Dream Date Barbie.

Those bulky bars might have some delayed side effects when you eat them nonstop.
Time for everyone’s favorite one-off love interest from “The Incredible Bulk,” an episode that everybody into muscle growth watched at one point or another. So I might as well keep making him bigger! This was definitely among the most liked when I initially posted these on Twitter. In fact, there’s a colored version that my friend banekakai on Twitter did that is also really well liked!

The obligatory giant Terra of the series but themed after the Disney parks! The interpretation of this prompt is that it’s a small world after all. And then I took that literally so I drew him at the “it’s a small world” attraction at Disneyland. Also added the gummiship for scale.
Sketchy Inktober 2020 #12) Beach with Rei Ryugazaki from Free!
We’re gonna need a bigger ocean if this beautiful boy is gonna learn how to swim.
Here we see another of my favorite characters made very big just because I really like him a lot. His pose is based on a scene from Disney’s Paul Bunyan actually.
Sketchy Inktober 2020 #13) Suit/Uniform with Hideki and Ichiro from Nerima Daikon Brothers
Btw this is based on an actual scene from the end of the second episode where kimchi makes them buff and they stop an evil Korean pachinko parlor.
Obscure choice ahoy!! It’s a fun series to watch as it’s a musical anime too. Lots of satire in it that I definitely didn’t get but I still highly recommend it. And it had some muscle growth for more than one scene.

Don’t grow up, grow bigger! It makes surprising pirates much more fun when they have to look up, even if your not flying.
Making the boys into big boys. That’s pretty much it. But with a lot more faith, trust, and pixie dust. I’m sure they’ll have a lot more adventures now.

Getting into the music is so much easier when you’re swept (or lifted) off your feet.
We need more of Prince Naveen so here’s my contribution to that. He’s such a handsome fellow it would be a crime if I didn’t draw him.

A redraw from #150: Selfie Trend. Take their picture quickly before her arm gives out because that’s a whole lotta pec to hold onto!!
I could have used them for the big boyfriend prompt but that would be far too easy! Also they’re a very cute couple.

What could be even sweeter than a cutie who’s favorite character is Pompompurin? ...Well caramel pudding is pretty sweet.
Absolutely love this character so much. Clearly I having preference to guys who like girly things. And I just want more good things for Kota as well as a increased need for Sanrio plushies.

“Huntsman Cosmic Power, Activate!!” Because posing in front of the moon is always awesome and cool.
Based on a scene from the RWBY chibi episodes. This is the kind of cool he’d imagine his is. And he’s my favorite character in the series so I thought it’d be fun for him to be in a kinda goofy pose in this.

Over the course of 4 movies, the guy was bumped into, like, 9 times! And I’m pretty sure that number is only gonna get higher and higher now.
Homeboy is eternally gonna have meet cutes with everyone so he might as well really run into them now. Also might as well beef up his part as he’s gotten so few screen time as is.

Mmmm holiday ham~ High metabolisms must be in the job requirements to be the title character in a shonen series.
Round of applause for mr. fan favorite as he got the most likes when I posted these on Twitter. I think the character looks so nice and I think he’s got a pretty good personality too. Very shonen anime good guy protagonist energy. The creator of the series though, not so much 😬
