Hua Cheng will do everything in his power to make Xie Lian’s life easy. The past had made the mere fact of his existence hard for reasons that were in no way his own fault; and Hua Cheng refuses to ever let Xie Lian face such hardships again. Because his husband deserves anything and everything and Hua Cheng would give him absolutely all of that and more if he could (one day, he will).

Right now, what Xie Lian needs is rest, and so Hua Cheng will hold him and let him; for however long he wants, however long he needs, and Hua Cheng will always be there, beside him, when he wakes.

(Or, Hua Cheng admires Xie Lian as he sleeps, and he not only thinks about just how beautiful his beloved is as he rests, but also about how Xie Lian finally has the peace he has always deserved, right in Hua Cheng's arms.)
