^ well said. a good chunk of people in the community, while usually unintentionally, tend to write ‘y/n’ not as ambiguous as they would like to.   by pushing a specific ‘look’ for ‘y/n’ it only furthers into excluding POC and trans people from reading fics or even leaving the fandom. even with it not being out of malicious intent, we as writers need to acknowledge this trend and try to better our work while keeping everyone in mind and use more inclusive language in our writing to depict the scene for everyone. (unless someone had turned in a specific request of pronouns/anatomy/race/ect of course)
