In general, not anything specific. I just like cartoon-y looking things and styles. Particularly old illustrations are inspiring - like 30s cartoons, Tezuka, random illustrations on ads or news, folk art, etc.

Some of the things drawn on the second page was based off some Aloise Corbaz paintings and also this one random illustration I found of Faust. Some stuff was from Pee-Wee's Playhouse (I like how the furniture has eyes and is alive).
