no swearing, but yes all of them are god dahm bops that I can listen to for hours on end.

The music fucking BOPS
No worse hell I hoped there would be The worst day for mankind is near All that I have loved is fading All I have embraced As the traitors threat humanity How can we avoid a tragedy We should overcome this misery We must unite Enemies that should have all been drawn away Watch the world go down as they are leading us astray Will we find a way to decimate the devil's lies I shall spare no life nor souls this time around Use your anger in this battle, free us from the pain now Now come to save us Turn your anger into hate and save us So that in the end we all be free The Promised Land, our mighty land Our future has an open end We dedicate to life's debate All that's vanished in this moment The Promised Land, our mighty land Try to feel it, not to understand We dedicate and tolerate A war that's imminent for all
Dedicate Your Heart! by Epica
I believe these lines fit the pre-kotor story of the Mandalorian Wars perfectly well. I love both Japanese version of the song by Linked Horizon and Epica’s one. Like many others, I think it fits Star Wars in general as well, so there’s a video of Star Wars anime opening too. (I would definitely watch that anime if it existed! I would definitely draw a pre-kotor comic or even make a video like that... if I could.XD)

I know someone posted the timeless main theme already, but my favorite musical moment in Goncharov is definitely the song that Katya sings in the cabaret just before the infamous poker scene with Sofia... and her reprisal of it just before she "dies" (EVEN THOUGH I STILL THINK EVERYTHING POINTS TO HER FAKING HER DEATH) just breaks my heart every time....
The music supervisors did their homework on this one too, because the lyrics are actually from a famous poem by Russian poet Alexander Blok, and they just fit the tone of the show SO well...
Night, street, lamp, drugstore,
A dull and meaningless light.
Go on and live another quarter century - nothing will change.
There's no way out.
You'll die, then start from the beginning;
It will repeat, just like before:
Night, icy ripples on a canal,
Drugstore, street, lamp.
UGH! THE THEMES! THE BLEAKNESS OF IT ALL! Anyway, if you need me I'll be hiding in my room and being absolutely normal about all this... and I may post more hard-to-find clips from the soundtrack to my music blog @traumaticmagic later
I'm not entirely convinced that this is a demo cut from the Go Insane album that somehow worked its way on a fucking movie soundtrack. It fascinates me to this day that this exists on the soundtrack to fucking Back to the Future.
noticing a pattern of unusual instruments being used in the soundtracks of the disney+ tv shows. bass recorder and electric guitar in the mandalorian and theremin in loki. it’s so different and fascinating compared to the standard john williams orchestral soundtracks and i love it

We just finished watching the movie Contact. It’s such a positive message (minus all the political stuff). I especially appreciate when the lil’kid at the end asks if Jodie Foster’s character thinks there’s life out there. She asks him what he thinks and he says he doesn’t know. Her response? “That’s a great answer.” Wish more of us were encouraged “not to know”. I think curiosity is an important trait in a person. It sure takes a lot of pressure off, ya know?
