I am confident in my translation from Japanese, but I am not sure that I translated well into English, because it is not my first language. Weird feeling :D

Even though I know it's Orochi in Susanoo's body, I liked his Chinese voice actor's laugh so much *-*

I really can't tell if I like Susanoo's Japanese voice. It feels like it's missing something. I'd rather listen to him dubbed by Hirakawa Daisuke (seiyu Susabi) or someone with the same tone of voice. On the other hand, for some reason I wanted there to be tenderness in Susanoo's voice. Perhaps that's the main reason why I don't hate the chosen voice. I had a similar aversion to Tamamonomae's male voice. When I first heard Shinichiro Miki, I didn't like his voice. But in another anime (he voiced Yoken Asakura in Shaman King) his voice seemed different to me. Now I adore this seiyu XD.

Hopefully by the time Susanoo will released as a shikigami, his voice will seem different to me too. Right now, Susanoo sounds like a high school kid who has smoked hundreds of cigarettes (I have to say that I've been listening to Susanoo's Chinese voice for a month now, so it's harder for me to get used to x1000)

Long-post [part 1. Takamagahara and gods]

Okay, I know this post isn't likely to be seen by many people, but I feel it's my duty to help people understand what's going on with the gods and Takamagahara. Although the developers used real mythology, they changed a lot, but some things were still left untouched. I will put together all the information that I have at this time. I want to make it clear that I haven't read SP Enma's event yet!

Takamagahara, the abode of the gods high in the sky

Heavenly kami (gods) live exclusively here. Earthly kami live on earth because they were born on earth.

An inconspicuous fact: meaningful and powerful gods are served by gods of lesser status

In other words, all emissaries are lower-status gods. In Japan there could have been gods who were deities of anything in the world, so there is nothing to be surprised about. There are a great many gods.

An important note: "kami" can be used to refer to both male and female gods! I have met people who believe that kami is only masculine because there is a word for goddesses, "megami". This is not true, for example Enmusubi is also called kami

In the original sense, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi and Susanno are Michashira no Uzunomiko/Sankishi, the three divine children born to Izanagi. In his biography, Orochi still refers to them as the three divine children (Sankishi). However, the developers nowhere mention the original Japanese gods Izanami and Izanagi. The comic tells us that the first gods simply… appeared with the first ray of sunshine.

In other words, there won't be Izanami and Izanagi here (I hope the developers won't break the story again and make more plot holes). I have two guesses, either the developers left these three gods as relatives, or because of their power and importance they simply lead all the other gods.

There's no point talking about who Yamata no Orochi is, a lot of people know this name from Shaman King and other anime/games. Quite a popular mythical character.

I remember that Enmusubi's biography states that Orochi is also a heavenly kami (he is listed as a colleague when she was still in Takamagahara), just that he was born out of evil thought. Numerous Memory Scrolls also confirm my words. It's funny that in the old videos Orochi wasn't imprisoned when Tsukuyomi made his prediction (plot holes yasss)

About the three divine children, I will make a separate post, these three personalities are very significant both in reality and in the game :)

However, I will briefly describe what Takamagahara and its gods are now.

I think only "a blind man" didn't notice that Tsukuyomi is a dark horse. It is not yet known at what point he lost faith in the supreme empress of Takagamahara, but one thing is clear: the vague prediction, the fall of Amaterasu and Susanoo, and such success of Orochi was not without Tsukuyomi's help.

According to Enmusubi, there are now gods in Takamagahara who are not particularly interested in the mortal world. I'm sure they still care at least a little bit about their worshippers (like Miketsu), but for the most part they only care about the power and significance of their divinity.

I found an image of the gods on the website that was created before the Orochi event. All these silhouettes are too well drawn, unlike the same emissaries. I think that in the future all these silhouettes will be revealed as individual significant characters.

The original gods do not die or turn into yokai like the earthly kami Ichimokuren, so the heavenly kami really may not help their divine power to believers except to please their ego (make their name known around the world and etc.) and/or increase their power (if that's how it works in this world). However, Miketsu, who was supposed to be executed, was not executed(SP Miketsu memory scrolls) because she is too significant to the world. In other words, the fall of the human world also disadvantages the gods of Takamagahara.

However, in the SP Orochi event it was also revealed that there is now nothing Takamagahara can do against the evil god. The powers of the gods are too weak right now… Or is that a Tsukuyomi trick, too? I'm inclined to believe that the moon god himself isn't too fond of Yamata no Orochi. As it was said in SP Orochi's biography about the moonlight coming into his prison, but the moon itself wasn't visible. Although this could also indicate the Moon God's elusiveness with regard to what is going on and his connection to the god of evil.
