Sometimes I’m trying to exist

and then I remember, in America, it’s spelt Ax, not Axe

which feels so wrong

And I live in America

You learn something new every day.

saw someone misspell "stochastic terror" as "socratic terror" so I'd like to clarify that stochastic terror is the public demonization of a person or group resulting in the incitement of a violent act that seems random but is not, while "socratic terror" is what every athenian felt when they went down to the agora in the 5th century and saw an old man with a beard approaching them

I hate english like bro

"jewelry" should be spelt "jewelery" to me and other things but I don't want this post to be fucking long as hell-

But ' should also be eradicated from existence.

You get a lot of weird requests when people find out you can draw semi-decently, but by far my favorite was the time when my grandma saw an antique quilt that she liked and she asked me to help her pirate the pattern.

Yo ho ho. ☠️🏴‍☠️

Yesterday. 17 June 2014. Nutshell.

Rainy day in Dallas, 68 degrees F. Listening to Best of #Yiruma - makes me feel like I'm in a HayaoMiyazaki film.

Hmm, maybe in My Neighbor Tortoro (I occasionally see soot sprites in my apartment, out of the corner of my eye, and sometimes I feel like the ill mother), or maybe Howl's Moving Castle (doing my hand-stitch mending feels like Sophie spiffing up the hats, and I clean like a madwoman when I'm upset sometimes).  Haven't seen Arietty yet.

I need to stop being lazy & learn how to spell that temperature scale that isn't Centigrade, Celsius, or Kelvin. :P

you know what’s fun? Spelling out my accent

coupla= a couple of

y’know= you know

what’re ya doon= what are you doing

iffin ya’sha= if you’re sure

Whadd’yado/whadd’yedo= what do you do (usually in the context of *insert bad event here* “but what are you going to do 🤷‍♀️”)

Sha fie wa’ta= sure fire way to

Sort of ordered these from most to least readable/undersrandable

I actually write this way in my texts sometimes and it fucks with people big time

This is what I get for spelling words the way they sound when I say them

These get even better when you realise I’m from Arizona (USA) so these come out of my mouth sounding something between a southern accent and a California accent.

I kinda love seeing other people make the same kind of spelling mistakes that I do.

Like the name ‘Michael’. Super common name. Still spell it wrong 50% of the time. But so does everyone else.

Can people PLEASE learn the difference between queue, cue, and que

Queue - a line, like the kind you might have to stand in for a movie, or it could be the list of songs that you told your music software to play next

Cue - to signify/a signifier for something to happen. cue the music. oh no I missed my cue. it's also what the sticks for hitting the balls in pool are called, but I don't see people messing thar up as often

Que - not, in fact, an English word. you can pretend it's the Spanish word for "what," but the truth is, you'd still be spelling it wrong (it's qué, with an accent). in reality, this is the Spanish word "that" or "than," as in "the house that is green" or "she's taller than you."
