I have zero preference. It's not even a matter of "a good writer could convince me either way." I don't need convincing of anything. They both suit either position in my mind. People who refuse to read one position or another are missing out on so much incredible writing.

And while I'm here, a distinction a lot of people miss or confuse:

Verse/vers/versatile is the term for someone who both bottoms and tops.

Switch is the term for someone who both Doms and subs.

I've been think how I don't care about the top/bottom dynamics in wincest. For me some ships are pretty obvious about that, but I saw so many different opinions about this while I was starting to ship, that I consider them flex at this point

Said that I wanted to ask:

Another no preference vote for me. I love reading them in both roles. It can take a little more leaning on characterisation and situation than just top/bottom, but with everything the boys have been through and the way their dynamics have been in different places at different times over many years, it's no struggle to see them in either role.

Also bears repeating:

I have I slightly preference for sub Sam 'cause he'd do anything Dean asked for, but then so would Dean so I do read both and like to understand the author reasons for that
