Marlene Suarez, Keianna Millers attorney, says she is unsatisfied with the conclusion that the appellate court reached that the guidelines around the use of deadly force were followed. She also feels there are still questions to be answered, such as how that conclusion was reached and who signed off on it. Ultimately, Suarez feels there are limited ways for Miller to receive justice. "We do not believe it was the correct decision, and if Terrell is ever gonna have justice, I mean there's only a few ways we can do it, and that's for the officer to be criminally charged, for him to lose his job, and we will be pursuing remedies in civil court.' Suarez stated.

A civil suit will not carry any criminal charges, and there are currently none filed against Officer Goc.
