Imagine you and your f/o being able to tell what mood you're in. Even if they don't hear you verbally express it, they're able to tell when you need a break, are feeling anxious, etc. And they absolutely help you when you need it.

Imagine your f/o gently waking you up in the morning with their soft voice while planting kisses all over your face. After you're half or fully awake, they ask you to wait in bed, and after a few minutes they come back with a plate of breakfast for you.
"Lately you've been pushing yourself too much, love. So I decided to make a special day for you today starting with breakfast in bed, I think you deserve it."
They say putting the plate in your lap and maybe getting their own breakfast to eat with you, they are proud of your efforts and said you should rest a little more.

I still cannot find the design I’m happy with, but I’m done with it for now.

a/n: Hi, all! I’m so excited but so incredibly nervous to be back with my first full-length fic in awhile. I feel so unbelievably rusty, and I’m really hoping that doesn’t reflect too much in my writing. I’m so beyond appreciate of those of you that have been so kind to me while I took a much longer than anticipated hiatus. But I’m happy to be back! The featured flower for this installment is a black dahlia. Points if you know what types of emotions they represent! This is my first ever fic on this blog that doesn’t involve illness, and is my first injury fic period. It required me to do a bit of research, so I hope I did the story justice! It had only taken Jimin a few months to realize that there truly was no-one out there quite like Min Yoongi.
Granted, he had expected so from the very beginning. There was just something about the tattoo artist that continued to draw Jimin in the more they spent their time together. Each date would seem better than the last, and Jimin found himself more times than not planning out what the two could do on their next outing before the current one had even finished. But despite the unbridled amounts of joy they would experience together, there was something about Yoongi that had been on Jimin’s mind for quite some time now.
For one reason or another, the tattooer did not want to call him his ‘boyfriend’.

Progressive, but in a “I think humans deserve reasonably priced (if not free) healthcare and live-able wages and to not be discriminated against based on race or gender and to not be afraid of their children not coming home from school” way, not a “I think morality is relative and big government will fix all our problems” way.
Feminist, but in a “women have been historically oppressed and still struggle with abuse in intimate partner relationships at staggering rates, with wage and promotion discrepancies, with harassment and assault with little to no perpetrator accountability, and with few or shrinking social supports in areas such as maternity leave, WIC, etc,” not in a “abortion is healthcare and if you don’t support it you hate women and all men are evil” way.

Earlier today, I served as the “young woman’s voice” in a panel of local experts at a Girl Scouts speaking event. One question for the panel was something to the effect of, “Should parents read their daughter’s texts or monitor her online activity for bad language and inappropriate content?”
I was surprised when the first panelist answered the question as if it were about cyberbullying. The adult audience nodded sagely as she spoke about the importance of protecting children online.
I reached for the microphone next. I said, “As far as reading your child’s texts or logging into their social media profiles, I would say 99.9% of the time, do not do that.”
Looks of total shock answered me. I actually saw heads jerk back in surprise. Even some of my fellow panelists blinked.
Everyone stared as I explained that going behind a child’s back in such a way severs the bond of trust with the parent. When I said, “This is the most effective way to ensure that your child never tells you anything,” it was like I’d delivered a revelation.
It’s easy to talk about the disconnect between the old and the young, but I don’t think I’d ever been so slapped in the face by the reality of it. It was clear that for most of the parents I spoke to, the idea of such actions as a violation had never occurred to them at all.
It alarms me how quickly adults forget that children are people.
Here’s a hot take: villains should be relatable.
Not every villain, not every time, and certainly not to everyone at once, but there should be moments. We should, occasionally, be able to see ourselves in the bad guys, be able to understand how they got there.
Because it reminds us not to fucking go there.
Antis who get upset about villains having relatable qualities (often couched as being “romanticized” or “woobified”) are people who cannot bear to ever think of themselves as having the capability of being wrong.
Every human alive is capable of being a horrible person. Relatable villains remind us to keep an eye on that shit.
all i want to do is write that one fic that takes people’s breath away and kinda lingers in the back of their minds. i want to write something that makes people want to make art and play with my versions of characters or in the universe i created. i want to be able to create worlds that feel real enough to walk into and write lines that stick with people until they forget where exactly they heard it because it lives in their bones now.
writing should be fun.
make oc playlists. spend hours on moodboards that have no purpose. write self-indulgent fluff that’s never going to be published. scribble three lines of poetry in the back of your history notebook. draw fanart of your own characters. write stupid dialogue that your publishers might hate. start new wips that you might never finish but write those three chapters that make you happy because if you don’t write them, who else will?
writing shouldn’t always be about “will publishers like this” or “i have to reach this word count” or “how do i get the most likes”.
have fun with your writing.
