"Hey.. Ash.. Ash, wake up.." Tayler was gently shaking Ashdyn awake. The two were having a sleepover before they had passed out and went into the Phantom World. Ashdyn was still asleep, though, thrashing around from terror.

When Ashdyn still wasn't waking up, Tayler sucked in a breath and slapped him.

Immediately, Ashdyn's eyes shot open. "OW! Tay, what the heck!?"

"I'm sorry! You weren't waking up!" Tayler said, holding up his hands.

Ashdyn rubbed his sore cheek, a slap mark blending in with his freckles. "It's.. fine. It's fine."

Tayler let out a sigh and stood up. The two were asleep in Ashdyn's living room. They decided to have a sleepover since Tyla had been forced by her coach to go off on an overnight softball tournament. And Tayler really didn't want to be alone.

Ashdyn stood up, ruffling his messy orange hair in an effort to shake off the grogginess. Tayler watched him as he did this, in a mild trance. He like the way Ashdyn's hair looked when it moved. It was almost like fire.

"Want me to make you some coffee?" Ashdyn asked, glancing at Tay, who jumped at the question because he forgot that he existed for a moment, completely lost in Ash's existence.

"Um, tea, please."

Ash gave him a thumbs up and walked over the the kitchen, scratching his back along the way.

Tayler let out a breath and began to tidy up the living room for a bit. Blankets were tossed in random parts of the room as they had apparently been thrashing around in their sleep.

He then stood up and walked to the kitchen. The coffeepot was on and a tea kettle stood above an open flame.

"What kind do you want?" Ashdyn asked, glancing at Tayler as he entered before looking back at the tea cabinet.

"Oh, um. Oolong, please."

Ash nodded again and grabbed a box before closing the cabinet. Tayler didn't really know what to do with himself while he waited. He just picked at his black nail polish and rubbing the callouses on his hands from mechanic work as he stood awkwardly at the doorway.

His awkwardness was interrupted by a "Hey."

Tayler looks up and sees Ashdyn, who had tied his hair into a small ponytail. His hair was just long enough for that, just barely touching his collarbone when not pulled back.

"Ya?" Tayler replied.

Ash leaned against the counter. "So, before we passed out, you were telling me about some sort of robotics thing? What was it.. um.. swarm.. something?"

"Oh! Ya, swarm robotics! I've started studying it recently. It's when multiple robots work together to complete a task! They work like an ant or bee colony."

Ash began pouring himself a cup off coffee and sat at the table and gestured for Tayler to sit next to him. "What kinds of stuff do they do?" he asks.

"Oh, like, LOTS of things!" Tayler said, getting excited now as he took a seat. "They're used for searching, rescuing, monitoring, agriculture, construction, defense, exploration-"

Tayler rattled on and on about all the different uses. Ashdyn rested his cheek on his hand, listening with a very small smile. He really had no interest in robotics, but Tayler liked to ramble. And listening to Tay's rambling helped his brain calm down from stress.

He took a sip of his coffee and said, "How does it work?" he asks. "Swarm robots?"

Tayler was practically beaming now at getting to explain the mechanics of it all. "Swarm robotics works by mimicking the collective behavior of social organisms, like ants, bees, as I said earlier! There's decentralized control, communication, coordination, trial and error, applications, algorithms, sensors, and feedback. All of these play a huge part in how it can work in the end!"

Ashdyn was nodding along to the words he doesn't understand. He felt his stress level lower by the minute. The shine in Tayler's brown eyes was so nice and it just made everything better.

"How do all of these functions work?"

Tayler laughed and ran a hand through his hair. "Oh, I could be here for hours explaining it all!"

Ash shrugged and leaned back in his chair. "I could hear you talk for hours."

Tayler pauses, not quite understanding what Ash meant immediately. but his face quickly went red and he leaned so far back in his chair that he nearly fell over. "Well, I mean, I could continue on-" he started to say with a big, awkward, toothy grin. But he was cut off as the tea kettle began to whistle.

Ashdyn let a sigh. "Give me a second," he said, standing up.

Tayler watched him and responded very quietly under his breath. "'Kay.."

Ash turned off the stove and began to steep the tea with the hot water. Tayler watched him as he did so. The dim lighting seemed to brighten just for him. Or maybe Tay just sees an effect around him all the time. He wasn't quite sure.

Ash brought him his tea, setting it in front of him. "Continue," he says, sitting down.

Tayler seemed nervous for a moment. "You know, Ash.." he says with an embarrassed smile, hurting his cheeks. "You don't have to force yourself to hear me talk. I get the feeling you're really not getting it and you're just trying to be nice."

Ashdyn raised an eyebrow. "What makes you think that?"

"Well, I mean.. I just don't think that this is all that interesting to you."

Ash looked down at the table. "It's really not," he says bluntly, feeling like a stab in the heart for Tayler. "But," Ash continued. "I still like hearing about it. It's not like I have anything nearly as cool I can talk about. I'm not passionate like you, Tay."

"You're plenty passionate!" he protested. "You're a great dancer! And a great leader!"

Ash shrugs. "I'm more indifferent to all that. But you're eyes light up when you talk about this," he says, pushing his bangs out of his eyes. "I like that. So I want you to keep talking. You're not loud, or fast, or just.. too much when you talk. You're calming. You speak softly, but you still get excited. I like that."

"You.. said you liked that twice.." Tayler said, blushing like a maniac.

"Well.." He tilts his head slightly, looking off to the side to find the words before settling on simply, "It's the truth."

"The truth..." He smiles and looks down. "It's always the truth with you.."

"So..." Ash leans forward slightly. "Keep talking."

Tayler doesn't speak for a moment before giving a resigned smile. "Ok."

More headcannons, but now a little sad

Taylor hate feel useless and this happen a lot in the phantom dimension, she can't fight like Tyler and Ben, can't make strategies like Logan and Ash, don't have the courage to lead the team when is necessary like Aiden but when they have the idea of the solar panels she literally freakout and make this is perfect, not even unique one mistake

When Aiden die in the phantom dimension, Ash lost all her strength, she just hold his body and aceppted she will die too and only recover her mind when Taylor pulled they for under a table and protect both with her on hands (I know that's not exactly like that, but I like it)

Aiden want to die and almost do it so many times in the phantom dimension that he start to have ansious crisis when woke up

Tyler have separete anxiety much more severe than Taylor, he literally freak out if he call at her phone and she don't respond fast enough

Logan have constant nightmares with see his friends dying in different ways, the worst of this nightmares is with him missing the shot when the phantom is attacking Ash in the roof and killing she

One time Ben and Taylor are running from the phantoms but the phantoms catch his body and attack Taylor. Ben really need to scream that day, but his panic at use his broken voice is so strong that he can't do it, they almost die, but Aiden and Ash came in time. Ben turns much more protective after that

Taylor favourite song now is "Happy Face", the same for Aiden, both can feel this song and know exactly how bad it is, but also they indentify with the song Secred (The Pierces) because they make a promese, if one die the other have to live to take care of the others, but both forgor about themselfs

Fiancé: Ash will go so freaking anxious when she proposes that she doesn't notice Taylor signals and they probably will propose at the same time. Ash want to disappear in that moment, but she will accepted after Taylor and Aiden stop laughing 

Gentle: One of them is so gentle and the other one is so awkward that make it comic, Taylor is gentle even with people she don't know, but for god, Ash just don't have social skills and is so rude without noticed that and Taylor need stop a fight for explain that to the person Ash is talking

Hugs: Taylor is a hug person, she is always hugging someone, most of the time the person is his brother or Aiden. Ash is a “no touching” person, so… don't touch, but when she hugs you, hug back! Don't waste your chance!

I love you: obviously, Taylor says that first out loud and says it always before sleep and when they need to go home separately. Ash first time are when she think Taylor is sleeping, but she was more wake than never and just hugs one extremely shy Ashlyn

Jealousy: Ash can't identify what jealousy is at the first time, but when she did, she caught herself being very jealous and kinda possessive, but she's taking care about it. Taylor's don't much jealous, just if someone freely compliment Ash in a weird way

Kiss: In the beginning, Ash evites kisses because she doesn't know how to do it, so Taylor just calms her and waits until she wants to try. After that, they turn it in a gentle and calm kiss (A little cringe for Ash because she turns in a tomato)

Love language: Taylor is like and almost entirely touch person, but she starts to have a little more quality time after starting dating with Ash. Ashlyn is a quality time person, she’s starts to like a little touch now and really appreciate Taylor cuddles

Marriage: Well, what to say? Taylor turns in a energy ball and Ashlyn in a anxious trembling thing

Normalcy: Both likes to play video games and DDR so when they need a break from all the freaky things, both just go at Ash or Aiden house and play games and lie down for a cuddle session

Open: Ash just can be totally open with Taylor when she almost loses her in the phantom dimension, and now she can feel comfortable to cry and talk about her feelings freely. Taylor is a open book, she don't keep secrets from Ash and offer support for her always

Past relationships: Just Taylor has other people in her life, never a boyfriend or a girlfriend, but people who teach her how to have a relationship. Now, Ash… she just never has a normal interaction with any other person, so..? She is a total noob in relationships

Quiver: Taylor feels her knees weak when she sees Ashlyn dancing and making plans, she just admires Ash always and ever. Ashlyn feels her body shaking when she sees Taylor fighting in the phantom dimension, like they time she take Logan’s gun and shoot the centipede or just seeing her doing her mechanics things

Realize: Taylor realizes that she has feelings for Ash when she smiles for the first time after almost dying because of Aiden being stupid when they go take the jeep. Ash realize her feelings for Taylor when sees she being so calm and gentle when Aiden told for them what happened to Ben

Sick: I think Ash doesn't get sick easily so it's more common that Taylor falls sick because of a fever, I really think Taylor doesn't work well with hot days or summer so she has bad cases of hyperthermia and fever

Talk: I think Taylor talk for both, she’s like a parrot and never stop talking about mechanic and this type of things, the only exception is when Ash starts talking about ballet and the dance history for ENTIRE HOURS

Ugly: Nothing absolutely nothing, Taylor frequently compare Ash with a goddess because how beautiful she is for her and Ash can't say a only one thing she think is ugly in Taylor

Vanished: Ha! Taylor will totally freak out and start looking in every local she can think of and make all her friends help with it. Ashlyn will stop and try to remember where in the hell Taylor are or is possible to be, but inside she is freaking out too

Whole: Both can work barely well without the other, but Taylor will miss faster and send a lovely message and Ash will answer faster as possible, but we can't forgot that Taylor is emotional depended from his brother, so she really try don't desenvolve this with Ash

Xtra: Both like dogs, so Taylor took Ash to look a pet shop sometimes after a bad night

Y me?: Taylor just asks that in a form to play with Ash, she just likes to hear it, we can't judge her, but sometimes Ash asks this seriously and Taylor is more than happy to confirm and list all that make she love Ashlyn
